Toontrack Big Band EZX v1.0.0 screenshot
EZX Sound Expansion - 2,09 GB
Although the origin of the term “jazz” is still up for debate, the leading candidate for its source is “jasm,” a word dating back to 1860 that relates to spirit, energy and vigor. Whether this is the true origin or not, those descriptive words are hallmarks that go together with jazz just as much today as they have through its entire history. The heritage of jazz and its impact on music as we know it is monumental. Arguably, no style of music has managed to seep through cultural tiers, outlive fads and trends or historically been more seminal in spawning great instrumentalists such as jazz has. Quite simply, it’s in our DNA and is the common thread in the fabric of our musical history.

This EZX is an homage to jazz on a whole and, in particular, the golden big band era. This did not only produce some of the most iconic artists in recorded history but also immortalized drumming as more than part of the rhythm section – it brought it to stage center. The Big Band EZX brings you two kits from the swing era of the ’30s and ’40s, both handpicked and tailored to provide an authentic slice of what the big band sound was and, indeed, still is. Expect two fundamentally different kits covering the entire tonal range from the round, warm and intimate to the thunderous, explosive and fiercely energetic – just like the genre itself.

Can you hear it? That steady rattle of the snare, the sizzling melody of the ride and the subtle, round boom of the large open bass drum? Welcome to the Big Band EZX, which will enable you to produce the timeless swing that has been the epitome of jazz for close to a century and a half.

Thank you Talula. You know me love Jazz and Pop Punk equally.
Come here just to try the software and buy it afterwards.
If I don't like the software I will just DELETE it.

Why do you like to spread false information?
It has become obvious that you don’t really know a lot about this stuff.

These two kits from the decades SDX are treated differently therefore the sounds are not on the decades SDX. It is the same with every EZX that also has an SDX equivalent.

Please do some research before you post because there is enough false information on the Internet.

Try to stop typing about things you don’t really understand, just like you did in the other ezx thread.

Thanks.

If someone only use EZ Drummer then he will not be able to use any SDX therefore this comparison is pointless.

Wrong. If someone uses SD3 Then they should know the truth that the EZX and SDX are not the same therefore it’s worth it to download both, It’s never pointless to correct misinformation.

So what ?, did i type anything about EZD users ?

Let me teach you something, SD users can use EZX libraries.
  Resident 16.03.2014 1567

Indeed: SD users can use EZX libs but not the other way around:
EZD users can't use SDX libs therefore it's pointless to write that if someone has the Decade SDX then he doesn't need this EZX.

Since someone downloaded this EZX it means that he's using EZX therefore there's no way he will also have some SDX lib since it's not compatible with EZD.

Hopefully you got my point this time.

Many SD users have SDX libraries but they downloading EZX versions cause they think there is differences between SDX and EZX versions. Some of them have edited/mixed sample differences but some of them not. (except layer, mic, samplerate, articulation differences between SDX-EZX)

I use SD and have and use plenty of EZ expansions so not pointless.
Sometimes I download the huge SD version but also sometimes the EZ version is sufficient, or sometimes both.

Off their website:

"The EZX is best described as a slimmed down version of the SDX"

"Looking for an instant big band sound – go for the EZX. Looking for all the options you need to mix, match and design the kits of your wildest dreams – go for the SDX".

Decades 99GB, this one 3GB - may be a factor.
I will stick with Decades but thanks so much for the share Talula.

I want to be ashamed so if you think you can then Please do, I dare you.

Sooooo Once again you are wrong, if you watch the advertisement video they tell you right in the advertisement that it contains two kits from the SDX but they are treated different, treated meaning processed and mixed different. As with ALL EZXS that have an SDX equivalent, they take a kit or two from the SDX and then further process it. This is how Toontrack have been doing it since the beginning, maybe you are new to this stuff But this is common knowledge for anyone who takes the time to learn about these things.

These things I’m telling you are not opinion they are fact,

But as I said earlier, if you think you can shame me I would love to see it. So let’s see what ya got.

I get the impression that maybe you don’t use this stuff? Perhaps you just download to collect it? I don’t know, but you sound like you have no experience.

Just one little clarification, the midi grooves in this EZX library are much smaller than those in the Big Band Grooves Pack sold separatly.

Most of the grooves are different from the Decades SDX as well, I think the combined midi from this EZX and the SDX version together might equal what's in the Big Band grooves pack, I can't confirm it but that's what I'm thinking. So for people using one or the other they could at least grab the midi from both

Wrong Again. If someone (like me an SD3 user) downloads this and the SDX it is because he understands the facts, the fact that EZX's and SDX's compliment each other, neither is a replacement, this EZX compliments the Decades SDX. So With every SDX I download I also hope to get the EZX that goes with it, because they are different, and EZX's play back identical whether you play them in SD3 or EZD2.

quote by mrpsanterHopefully you got my point this time.

Oh I got your point the first time, the point you are wrong and so is Aminor. I trust when you both educate yourselves on these differences you'll agree with the facts. This is not opinion it is fact. Eventually you'll both learn but don't worry I won't need an apology. I'm just here to correct the record.

Good Luck. :D

funny thing is that I paid for SD3 and Decades and still can't use these. If a k'ed ver of SD3 came for mac I'd probably replace my paid version then ironically.
