With the newly added ‘Japan's Vintage’ by Nori Ubukata, there are currently 32 preset expansion banks for SynthMaster 2.9 and SynthMaster Player which contain more than 2000 presets for various genres.




IMPORTANT NOTE : Copy the Japans Vintage.smar file to the root of your preset folder.
In Windows this should be C:\Users\XXX\Documents\SynthMaster\Presets

I had the same problem, and I solved this way, so I'm sure the solution is to copy Vintage.smar in the root of your preset folder.

To locate it for sure, open SynthMaster and save a preset using "save as" function, it will automatically go to your preset folder, so can be sure where it is.

It could also be in
C:\Program Files\VstPlugins\KV331 Audio\Presets

hi, thanks for presets. explanation is not complete.
copy both "Japans Vintage.smar" and "Japans Vintage.smpb" in the presets folder (only the files) and then it works.

Of course you have to copy Japans Vintage.smpb to preset folder, as this is the sound bank.

i wonder how a legit synthmaster will react, when seeing this japan bank...
because both synthmaster and soundbanks are tied to a name and email address,

so, when synthmaster ID 333 that reads soundbanks ID 333(or whatever id based on our credentials),
tries to open a japan.soundbank with ID 567(from a different user),

the synthmaster app should "know" that soundbank is a commercial one, and had to be downloaded from a user profile, and should then do whatever task the dev might have implemented (when we see how the dev goes crazy, with the slightest negative opinion at kvr, only God knows what stuff he has implemented...)

next time the legit plugin tries to update/contacts the mother server, it should report "hey, this user is using the xy soundbank that was generated by xy user"...

just wondering ... :)

Conclusion: even if legit owner of SynthMaster, better use cracked version.

the older expansions ended up not working at all in SM, this happened a while back.

the smart (and tedious) way to avoid this would be for somebody to save the presets separately, rename them, and then upload them so the 1st party presets would load as if they were 3rd party presets.
