sounds great, I wish there was something like a manual for the different vectors

@jaja
good reverbs, dynamic processors and other time-tested plugins can give me more depth then I ever need while keeping the noisefloor low tongue

Can someone explain how to install the libraries onto an external hard drive (running Mac OS X) and have Nebula be able to find them.

Thanks.

this is big...by the way the subtle affect is added up as you process your sound, and changes the quality hence the timbre...plus you don't have to worry about aliasing, and phasing issues introduced by digital algorithm analog wanna be vsts...stick to nebula for a better timberal quality and difference...now there are people who can't get their sound stand out, this won't help you, what would is knowledge of how to avoid degrading your sound while processing it...and this tool is for that, nebula would only make good sounding signal to stand out...but if the sound is dull this won't help...but I would just stick to these nebula tools rather than any other digital vsts...

audioz369,
Wow, seriously? Do you realize you're just throwing buzz-words around without knowing anything about algorithms, analog and digital?

audioz369
plus you don't have to worry about aliasing

For the record, no developer in his right mind is gonna allow aliasing, there's plenty of techniques to make sure it doesn't happen, or to hide it from the sound in cases where you really can't stop it (which is pretty rare these days).
audioz369
and phasing issues introduced by digital algorithm analog wanna be vsts

Did you know the analog gear you praise and pray for has always been introducing phasing issues? In fact, it's only in the digital domain that we can apply a technique called linear phase, which doesn't screw up the phasing at all! BTW, that phasing which you seem to despise is part of the desirable analog character of certain well known consoles and EQs which I'm sure you dream of having.

Read this for your mental well being and to save your pockets from emptying by buying any more nebula patches :
http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/aug10/articles/modelling-plugins.htm

Wanna know where Nebula is in that group? It's concept is way simpler, less realistic than any of these emulations.
Nebula basically takes impulses responses sent through the gear and tries to give the same effect to what you pass through Nebula.
Revolutionary? Genius? The best way? No.
They're using the same technique as convolution reverbs, aka passing impulse responses through the boxes/gears. The only solution they found to adress the problem of non-linear gear is to take more impulse responses and morph between them with an algorithm (vector engine). This is basically making the plugin way more CPU hungry while you just stand there, hoping the vector engine has figured out the non-linearity of the gear in question.

Emulation done by the geniuses in that article is state of the art: they take every detail of the gear, every resistor, circuit, transistor that has an effect on the sound and they emulate it. This is as close as you get to analog in the digital world.
Be the spark that will ignite the passion, teach the art of reverse-engineering to this generation.

Exodus,
cool story bro, I see no science in your post either, so either back up your statement with facts and resources or GTFO...This being said, I would go with my ears more than with science and logic on this matter. Washing your ears do help you know;) wink I am not saying your wrong I am just saying you are mistaken just much as I am...except I admit that, you don't...and you are only fooling yourself by dissing all my knowledge to justify what ever you have on your mind...Digital distortion, re sampling, and any form of dsp process has artifacts, including aliasing etc...digital eq's are primitive and cause phasing...look into it and get back to me on that. yes cause I am not doing your research for you...next time try sharing knowledge instead of making condescending comments about others opinions...just saying next time I won't even bother to reply to any of your quotes...you have pretty much figured everything including my level of understanding dsp...with just one post...wow, bro, may be you can guess my eye color, shoe size, or even read my future like a fortune teller, too...who knows, after all you are the Mr.IKNOWITALL...
