We’re talking about rock – the sound of rock and the deafening impact the craft of engineering, producing and mixing it right has on how it ends up echoing through history. Meet audio visionary Eddie Kramer, the uncrowned king who shaped the sound of the legends that became immortal icons of rock and who in the process became a royalty of rock himself. This is his collection of drums and a true homage to classic rock as we know it.

The Legacy of Rock SDX zones in on Eddie’s formative years in the buzzing sixties London scene and continues on through the seventies. It includes five drum kits, each sourced and tailored to mirror a significant era or sound in Kramer’s remarkable career. All drums were recorded in Kramer’s studio of choice, Studio 1 at AIR in London, and captured through signal chains of vintage microphones as well as handpicked, rare and custom equipment scouted specifically for these sessions.

These drums rock. Take it from the man who only in the first two decades of his career managed to work with The Rolling Stones and The Beatles, record the entire Jimi Hendrix catalog, capture several of Led Zeppelin’s most pioneering albums and man the board as the original Woodstock festival was caught on tape. I'm not being ungrateful, which is what I guess you're alluding to. If I'm being disparaging it's to the developer, not the uploader. I just find 180Gb for a drum library a major overkill so...yes, as I said, I'll skip.

If you get all the factory content for SD3 it's like 230 GB. I've got about 600 GB tied up in SD already, thinking about doing this one too because why not lol. Don't see a magnet anywhere yet though so I'll skip for now.

With large libraries in the past, the way they are structured you still need to download all files, then extract the obw files then copy over the ones you want to use as mentioned in spoiler above.

You dont need all OBW files, you can cheat installer. For missing OBW files, I created empty text files, renamed to OBW files, installer copied that fake OBW files as source files later i deleted them. This trick works with every Superior libraries which ones needs install.

Yes but when you unzip the downloaded files, in past ones they unzip OBW files in order 1, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14..... 19, 2, 20, 21 and so on so to get OBW 3 , 4, 5, 6, 7 etc you need to download all 172 parts first. I haven't finished yet to check this one but thats what happened with Hansa and other big ones for me.

I have another trick for that. First i checked extracted file structure on torrent file, i count file sizes alphabetically and guess which OBW files in which RAR part cause RAR compressing alphabetically. With this way you can skip many RAR parts, if extracted file needs previous or next part you just need to download that part thats all.

Thats right, it needs little bit work but i downloaded approxx 78 part instead of 172 for 50 OBW files + needed files.

That has been the normal with their newest SDXs now. Hansa is 112 GB and you cannot choose which mics to download, it's all or nothing.

Thankfully with this one you can lol.

Yes you can do a minimal installation of Hansa i only have this in my drum computer just for playing since i dont have a lot of space and it works great , of course in my mixing computer i have the basic installation without the 5.1
