I don't agree on banning stupid posts, but it's indeed tasteless bait. Since it's free, I wouldn't have posted it but somebody else thought it was a good addition to the website. Let others judge, I honestly just skim through this kind of stuff but I saw many comments and stopped by.

everybody in the comments shitting on the company for offering something free in an anti coronavirus sale- they are likely doing what others have been doing, which is encourage people to stay home, who cares if they’re getting some extra advertising out of it, it’s an extremely important step towards minimizing exposure and encourages safety, they aren’t the only company doing this- amazon and the pokémon company are doing something similar- and to top it all off, you get free shit, no strings attached. everybody wins, stop griping.

The problem is they used the coronavirus topic in the mailing campaign, essentially using it as a clickbait. Many people (including me) feeled unneccesary alerted.

Other companies (Cockos, Moog, Korg etc.) managed to do similar giveaway in a more friendly manner.
