The Shakuhachi is an ancient Chinese bamboo flute that was later instroduced to Japan, with a distinctive warm body and thick harmonic character. We've wrapped it up into an awesome playable virtual instrument sample library for you to enjoy, absolutely free! Handy tip - layer up the static sustained notes with a staccato articulation, delay the static track by 50-100ms and allow the classic Shakuhachi articulations to shine through and add character!

Choose from a number of articulations and play around with the pitch to get monstrous sounding organs and pads! The free samples come pre mapped into Ableton Sampler, Kontakt, EXS24, Mach-5, SFV, Halion and Reason NN-XT, each with 4 articulations and multiple round robins and velocities.
