AUDIOSTRiKE 23/04/2015 | 311 MB
Gran Coda is a sample library for Native Instruments Kontakt that offers you a stunning detailed experience of a real Concert Piano.

Sampled from a real Steinway & Sons concert piano, immediately after an accurate tuning operation.

The sound is extremely clear, dynamic and realistic, thanks to the sampling of all the sound details with very hi-sense microphones.

Features:

- 48 KHz 24-bit Stereo sample resolution;
- 6 .NKI presets;
- 5 dynamic layers smoothly connected to avoid sudden sound changes;
- Keys, Sustain pedal & Damper FX;
- Sustain pedal samples with Hephaestus' IR Harmonic Restoration and Hephaestus' Real-Time Engine to switch between closed & damper samples in real-time when pressing the sustain pedal;
- Resonance & Key-off samples;
- Release key noises have a dedicated script to avoid the sustain pedal release conflict;
- Distance knob to move the piano away from you;
- Stereo knob to adjust the sound field;
- Soundboard, Presence and Exciter knobs to adjust the sound frequencies;
- Dedicated environment with an IR sample reverb;
- Compressed file size of ONLY 317 MB;
- Works on Kontakt 5.2.1 or newer (15 minutes on Kontakt Player).

Latest update V1.3 included.

I agree on pianoteq while I disagree on piano one (free version that I tried years ago) because it totally lacks releases and a natural sound decay. ;)

OK guys, I didn't think about Physical Modelings and such, I will give this a try as well.

EDIT:
I have to admit it's kind of amazing. No idea how they have done this since it's not physically modeled like Pianoteq for example.

So apparently, we don't need 20+ GB of samples for a piano lib, at least not if it's in a mix.

This sounds amazing for such low size! Thanks for sharing
Come here just to try the software and buy it afterwards.
If I don't like the software I will just DELETE it.

Both The Steinway as the Böserdorfer put all kinds of felts to avoid the keyboard and pedal noises, I can not understand why so many stupid wonder to sample the worst noises in piano, go to the amazing Reich prepared pianos stuff, cause, if I would like to play with a drummer I call them. Simply unbearable. Hering to the demos above was simply uncorfortable, we get a punch strike in the ears on each chord beeing played. Hephaestus is perfect when you remove these noise punchs.

To remove the banging noises just set the "Realism" knob on "Clear". The noises seems to be available only on the "Real" option.
