Henry Olonga Big Guitar Amp for Nebula 192 khz-MAGNETRiXX screenshot
Team MAGNETRiXX | 17 February 2014 | 403.48 MB
Part of the proceeds of this work support my chosen charity, this is an orphanage that I am the patron of in my native Zimbabwe.

Full commercial package size is 432 MB. 18 Presets. Provided at 192 khz, 96 khz and 44 khz. Please note that these require a fully licensed Nebula Pro license to enjoy.

Sampled here was a large VOX amp for a quick guitar amp sound. Using very, very high quality uncoloured microphones for absolute authenticity, I sampled it from 5 cm away and 30 cm away from the cab. There are three settings basically. No eq, warm boost to the low end and a Warm and Brilliant boost added. Just simply add a distortion plugin before Nebula and use a high quality equaliser shelf to tailor the low end of the presets – add or take away to taste. You may be fooled into thinking there is an amp in your computer.

This is a cutting edge library guaranteed to make your mixes sound less digital. You will be amazed at how someone had placed a sock over your digital files. Sampled at the highest sampling rate available to date in Nebula Libraries and delivered at that rate. Native 192 khz sampling and also 96 khz available. Designed to work best at 96 khz. This means you need to be patient as the libraries load and resample internally. Don’t worry, the quality will speak for itself. You will be amazed at the improved transient response.

YAWN…all this Nebula stuff is getting really boring!
Where is the new SPIRE for Mac, 112db plug-ins and so much more?

it is boring because of your ignorance. What to do with 112db eq and reverb when there is nebula to do the job 100 times better? excuse me?

That it is a solid application that gives new sonic possibilities so far unavailable in any other plug-in is a fact. Whether it is better people can decide for themselves but in my opinion yes it is and not just better but much better. There are certain things that it really shines at such as equalization, saturation, etc.

You can hear it in an A/B comparion in this video and the Nebula version seems to come to life while the regular is boring and lifeless:
Nebula Explained Free - Secrets Of Nebula VST Gain Staging Pt 1

Overall, I’m really impressed by the scope and audio quality of Nebula 3. It covers a huge amount of sonic ground, and is incredible value for money. I’m confident that it will sell in large numbers to musicians who have never owned any of the gear being emulated, as well as to many that have.
-Martin Walker (Sound On Sound)

With all that said, the fact remains that Nebula3 sounds simply superb, and the price is absolutely ridiculous for what you get. Even if you only end up using one of each type of emulation offered, it’s still a bargain (Nebula2 is even more of a steal, and is identical, except that it lacks the LCD strip above the faders and has a smaller main display). Some of the programs are worth the asking price on their own.

MusicRadar Rating
4.5 / 5 stars
Pros
Excellent sound. Gives you the sounds of classic gear. Potential for expansion. Amazing price.

Cons
Very system-intensive. GUI can be cryptic. No ‘easy’ mode.

Verdict
Nebula3 emulates vintage gear and sounds incredible. Those with the CPUs to handle it will reap huge rewards.

tons and tons of crap on your hard drive? Is there some server that is automatically transferring what's posted on audioz to your hard drive? If there's crap on your hard drive it got there because of you. Now I don't want to call you ignorant, but come on there you're making it easy to judge. If you think it's crap just move on.

Seems that you guys don't understand what i mean! I call it crap because it's invading AudioZ since days now… taking too much space. And even if Nebula is crap for me it doesn't have to be for others. I'm not the type of man accepting everything that comes from elsewhere.
