I often run guitar parts through Melodyne and convert them to MIDI, and then play them through synths in the hope of finding some happy accidents.

Very useful indeed, if the tracks are interesting, good even to work on bass, as it's easier to slow, speed, transpose and read.

Transcriptions could be reviwed, because true musicians hate to read an up chromatic movement with a flat, must follow the music sight reading rules, ex.: use a F sharp note to achieve the G, but not, Gb to achieve the same name note. This guy never studied harmony.

A good contribution in pages, but, don't copy it exactly to your production, maybe many others used and you will shout when hearing another one doing the same as yours.

Once upon a time, were in the same hotel "Jaco Pastorius" and "Marcus Miller", Pastorius made a call to miller´s room and said: come here, that I´ll teach you how the bass must be played.
Miller thought, what this damn guy is trying to say. Miller got in Pastorius room... today he tells the most expressive history in his life: Pastorius gave me the most important class of my life.
