We've see many promises (There are inclusive lists) here, but only stuff that costs 2 or 3 € are posted...... Or Freeware with UP links, like it's very hard to get directly from developers.

Because the scene is all about that... Try before buy!

I'd be terrified about the scene if they had you as a spokesperson. All you're missing is a bottle of Jack Daniels and a slur to make this even more embarrassing than the scene you're already making. Is that the scene you're talking about? It's SAiNT's site and he has a right to do whatever he wants with it, he doesn't have to check with your misguided infant views of what you think is permissible. And he's not going to.

If we were to really analyze this logically (should we value that kind of thing): AudioZ has put out more exclusive releases in a week than VTX has in his entire career. We've made some very important contributions and it really annoys me to no end when people act like we don't count except when it comes to following rules or they make up lies about the content of our character. Copylefter isn't technically part of the scene but that doesn't make his contributions any less valid. In fact he's got a renaissance going on right now for the Mac people and some of that is even spilling over into the Win side in the most amazing of ways. I'm not technically part of the scene but I'm part of my scene and that's been good enough. In case you haven't noticed the scene is on it's last legs (no offense to R2R of course, it is merely the truth) and on a long enough timeline it is likely that it will cease to exist. At this point in time it's pretty much the p2p scene not the old school scene and that was created as a public platform that wasn't forced to abide by scene rules. If you truly wanted to preserve it's values then you would stop acting like it's some exclusive club that we're not in. If you were truly interested in it's longevity your beliefs would have evolved by now, otherwise all that you're clinging to is dogma and dogma is ALWAYS bad. Personally I have a firm belief that you shouldn't hold firm beliefs and this is exactly why. Firm beliefs don't leave room for growth, you're at the same level of thinking as you were when you created them in the first place but time has passed and the landscape has changed, you're different...perhaps you've made some distinctions in that time.

The p2p scene isn't about control or power or exclusivity: it's about sharing...it's about challenge, it's about sacrifice and it's about honor. At the scene's inception the filesharing landscape was much different and some things no longer make sense or are simply being misinterpreted or held too literally. Perfect example: don't make money with warez. Now you could take that literally as you should never receive a penny but then I'd have to wonder how new releases are to be bought. This isn't 10 years ago when protection systems were very easy to reverse and there was always a flood of releases, now things have to be purchased more frequently and the protections are a lot harder to break. Now there are watermarks to contend with and because of them not everyone is willing to supply. Now links have to be reupped constantly, they don't just get upped once and that's it. You seriously have to be a complete idiot to think that we're in it for the money, that part has nothing to even do with us. You have no idea what an investment of time and resources SAiNT has made to keep this site online for a fucking decade at this point but I do. And that was certainly my plan: hey I think I'll take a job at the forums, work my ass off 7 days a week, deal with nonsense and bad attitudes left and right because I'm about to be rich, that's why I've been working for 2 years for free. I turned down a lucrative job to be here to help give back the opportunity that was given to me because that's the kind of person I am. You really couldn't even fathom the time and sacrifice that the people that run this site have made so that artists could have access to the tools to make music and to gain some catharsis on this fucked up planet so save the money angle because I'm so sick and tired of hearing it. I've given away 1 month and 3 month accounts for a year before I even took one for myself even when I had no account. I'd pit SAiNT or me or copylefter against any scene person morally and we'd come out the other side so stop acting like you're some honorable saint and we're the rats underneath the city. It's just a facade that you've created for yourself, a place to hide because you can't face who you really are. Scene or not...we've earned our place.

There's a scene in Scarface that always sticks out in my mind and it's not for the usual egotistical superficial bullshit reasons that people like to quote that movie.
