As he stayed at the place for a few days and nights he discovered this secret entrance under a floor carpet. This door led to a dark basement full of dusty record crates. I think it's because they sample them from vinyl etc, so technically not royalty free, but also technically shouldn't be sold in the first place. I personally don't worry about it, have fun with them and if you make a track you think will be a big hit, clear the samples.
