"honoring the production... inspired by... unparalleled authenticity... paying homage to..."

So are these actual breaks or feaks?
What would be the point of playing something, and then trying to make it sound like a found break sample? To dodge any clearance risk? Safespace Hip Hop.

Not trying to dive into Hip Hop, clearance, or anything related on AZ... but I read that a few times and I can't make any sense of it. I'm curious to hear your logic behind this—how would making it sound like a break you dug out a crate help you dodge clearance checks? Seems like it would be the original recording that, even in-the-style-of, would be less likely to get snagged by a copyright scan, wouldn't it?
And I'm not even gonna guess what you mean by "safespace Hip Hop."

what. you good my dude? these are royalty free splice samples. they are made by sample magic, they just make them in the style of old records, and mix them to sound vintage-y.
my guy is saying that is wack, cause as a real G he was disappointed to realize these were just fake ass splice samples, as he had hoped for a pack of real sampled breaks from vinyls (because obviously, thats how real oldhead G's like my guy over here get their samples, they download premade collections...)

I hope you and your oldhead G guy over there enjoy splitting your royalties with the owners of those sampled breaks from vinyls! Keep keeping it real!

I'm aware of what they are.
My question was aimed at him saying "What would be the point of playing something, and then trying to make it sound like a found break sample? To dodge any clearance risk?" which doesn't make any sense at all, not if you actual understand how all that works. Or maybe it's just a completely illogical question and I looked too far into it, which is probably the case. As for the rest of all this, again, I'm not diving into Hip Hop, sampling, sample clearance or any of that on AZ. That never ends well.
Peace

Splice is designed to sell original created loops and sample packs. This pack is for producers and beat makers who don't have the financial means to clear samples from authentic records and want to use something that sounds like vintage records. This is not about playing it safe but what a registered business/company is legally permitted to do. Splice cannot sell any authentic samples from old released records without complete authorization from ALL the owners of said music. They would need to pay astronomically high clearance fees for everything, not to mention going through all the legal channels to receive approval from every songwriter, composer, publisher, etc. on a song. And that's assuming everyone is willing to agree to the amount or willing to license at all. Even if you were to interpolate a song, you would still have to get permission and clearance for the underlying composition. If you want to use samples from authentic records, you can always do your own sampling. Just make sure to be upfront with whatever artist and label you are working with that they will need to seek sample clearance for the music you used....
