I believe you, thanks for the heads up. having trouble finding anything damning in the "terms and conditions", just some vague stuff about being "royalty free" and "hassle free to clear". the vagueness alone makes me not trust it, but is there something else you were looking at?

Yes: it's a trap. Here is an excerpt from the EULA
“if you place a record using our samples on a Major Record Label or Qualifying Independent Label you are required to mention Dusty Notes in co-production credit and contact us”
Basically, any commercial use you make of the sample pack, you will need to include them in the project. This is the exact opposite of being “Royality free”
