This release contains loops of an in-studio band and vocalist performing the nuances of bossa nova jazz with sophisticated percussion grooves, the breezy texture of nylon-guitar progressions with elegant and laid-back vocals laced over top. This pack is beyond inspiring and ready for sample use in all of the genres that this sound has made way for and beyond.

Bossa Nova is a genre of Brazilian music that emerged in the late 1950s and gained international popularity in the 1960s. It is a fusion of traditional Brazilian samba and jazz elements, characterized by its smooth and laid-back style. The term "Bossa Nova" translates to "new trend" or "new wave" in Portuguese.

Bossa Nova gained international attention when American jazz musicians, such as Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd, collaborated with Brazilian artists. The album "Jazz Samba," featuring Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd, became a major success in 1962 and played a significant role in popularizing Bossa Nova in the United States.

This pack was produced with original compositions and arrangements from Christopher Stevens (guitar) and Marcus Myers (drums), who assembled an all-star line up of musicians featuring incredible vocalist Gina Roche, pianist Jessee Hernandez, bassist Jay Rosado and percussion by the legendary Pablo Batista (Grover Washington Jr, Alicia Keys, Jill Scott, Teddy Pendergrass and many more).

I'm gonna download every pack listed as Bossa Nova but that doesn't mean I'm gonna like em all. I could only find two Bossas and one Nova in the 343 MB of wavs. This collection contains two kind of vox samples, almostlistentoable and holycrapthatshorrible, with examples of holycrapthatshorrible at 0:17 and 1:45 of the demo. The singer sounds like she sucked on way too many whip cream bottles before she got to the studio, what a garish baby-voice. I rarely delete packs that I've downloaded to check out, but I'm certainly not encouraged to look for more material from Signature.

My dearest thanks go out to you, @Valentinus. My stomach muscles need to slowly regain their zen status after reading you're really humorous and complete honest opinion. Next to feeling those muscles I completely feel what you mend by holycrapthatshorible and those whippedcream bottle though I imagined something completely different, inappropriate I must say, about this lady. I'm not going to write this here because there's a chance young adults before mid-to-late 20s can read this. The brain stops developing by then and I surely don't want to give them mental pictures that can damage their adult minds.

One thing I need to make clear here. It's because of Fantastic that I've found real gems I bought and some horrific packs I didn't buy. That's the fun about the many posts of @Fantastic, it's like a box of chocolates.... and I like it

Thanks Fantastic! Agree though with previous poster, this pack doesn't do Bossa Nova any justice. The description though provides a nice introduction to this wonderful genre.
