Moonbyrd Music Library Cosmic Soul Vol. 2 (Compositions) WAV-FANTASTiC screenshot
FANTASTiC | 22 January 2024 | 1.52 GB
Cosmic Soul Volume 2 features a huge collection of 23 samples that capture the lush and spacey sounds of soul music from the late-1970s to the mid-1980s. Stylistically this pack draws inspiration from Japanese science fiction Anime soundtracks, smooth soul, jazz-funk, British and French library music and silky mid-80s R&B. Like Volume 1, the late-night sonic palette is defined by a rich selection of instrumentation including otherworldly female vocals, strings, brass, woodwinds, Rhodes electric piano, electric guitars, bass, tuned percussion, drums, and atmospheric vintage synths.

Considerable time and care was placed into the sample structure and composition. As a result, the tracks range from 2 minutes to 4 minutes in length and feature multiple sections, specially designed to offer many exciting possibilities for the producer to chop up. Tracks that feature drums come in both drum and no drum forms.

BPM and key is included and the samples are formatted as 24-bit WAV. All sounds are compatible with any DAW or sampler.

Master clearance is guaranteed.

This is more Boom Bap fodder. If "considerable time and care was placed into the sample structure and composition" and they went to the extent of providing the tracks without the drums, why the hell did they not provide ALL of the stems/multitracks? Because the people releasing the pack didn't have access to them, that's why, because they didn't make the original compositions, that's really why.

I'm not sure why the description says "Tracks that feature drums come in both drum and no drum forms" when the main folder contains the 23 compositions plus a folder with all 23 tracks without the drum loops.

Honestly, I can't think of a demographic that would actually buy material like this and the only people that should be downloading it for free should be the data whores who can't stop themselves from downloading every frickin' pack that someone shares. [insert side-glancing sock puppet monkey meme here]

You should get out more, my friend. These are original compositions. You can buy this pack (and every other Moonbyrd release), via The Sample Lab or their own website, with or without stems. This is the composition-only release. There's nothing wrong with the description: You get a complete version, and a drumless version. For a pack of soul samples, it arguably doesn't get much better than this... If you don't like soul samples, why do you seem to care so much? You could at least look into the publisher a bit before posting something so aggressively... incorrect. Or simply leave releases like this to those who enjoy them, no?

SMH you couldn't be further off bass here. If you bothered to investigate you would see the reason the stems aren't here is because they sell the stems as an upcharge. So whoever provided the uploader the release only purchased the compositions version, but you absolutely could go to their website and purchase the stems. Because they are the original creators of these works smh.

As for why someone would use this type of product its because you like to sample but are sick of using the same 60's-70's samples that eveyone has already flipped a billion times. Just because you are incapable of making original music that sounds this good, maybe you should stick to your boring demon metal where the drummer just bangs the drumset as fas as he can for 6 minutes and stay far away from the original soul samples.
