Boom Bap Labs Amen and Strong Arm Productions Skitzophrenic Sound Banks 3 WAV-FANTASTiC screenshot
FANTASTiC | 31 December 2023 | 187 MB
Amen & Strong Arm Productions has formed The Psych Ward Orchestra. Insomnia has led us into a psychosis state of mind. While you're at home sleeping, we have been living restless, viciously running thru crates and crates trying to discover them skitzophrenic sounds, lunatic lullabies and those maniac melodies that will influence any producer to become neurotic nutso. These samples will keep you medicated musically for days. This pack contains 30 samples all carefully handpicked by The Psych Ward Orchestra. All files are in universal WAV format at 44.1 kHz sample rate and 16 bits resolution.

I've noticed that this morning the Boom Bap Labs demos are hosted on Soundcloud instead of the mp3 previewer and it was a much easier process to scoop up the 6 packs that were just posted this morning, so I'm hoping future BBL demos are hosted on Soundcloud. After downloading countless packages and their demo tracks from AudioZ I will say that over the years the Soundcloud and YouTube demo tracks are much more reliable than the built in mp3 player previews.

With SC and YT I can tell if the file is still valid by just looking to see if the track is still appearing in the post, because if it is I know that I can download it.

With the built in mp3 previewer I can either 1) try downloading it, and after awhile either a save dialog will eventually open or I'll get an error message that I'll have to dismiss, or I can 2) click on play and wait how many ever minutes for it to start, so I know that I can download it, and then go back to that tab and download it. Either way there's lag and manual steps built into the process, and when you're downloading several packs at once it becomes a tedious chore.

With SC and YT I just look and see that there's a demo track available, I right click Copy Link, and it goes straight into my downloader app (JDownloader) to be saved in the same sub-folder as the pack, and I'm done. There aren't any Save dialogs or Fail to Download pop-ups to deal with. If the SC or YT show the error message I know to not waste my time. That is much simpler and more time efficient.

So from a Member's perspective the SC demo track links are the easiest, and once you set up your downloader properly, so are the YT links. The built in mp3 previews do work, but they seem to fail more often and it is not visibly possible to tell if the link is still working.
