They actually leave plenty of room to treat them however you'd like to. I actually gravitate towards less treated drums.

The rawer the samples, the more you can dress them. Having said that I found the drums to be dry and punchy which is perfect for my mixing chain. They really just sound identical to drums from the 70s and I think they are worth every penny.

Hence the name. The snare and toms were prepared with tortillas to sound muted, then professionally mixed. They actually sound good.
