We wanted to capture that semidarkness mood and the semblance of something flowing in a natural way, from the body of the player to the soul of the listener. On the acoustic side, we were looking for that round pizzicato sound with that peculiar defined fingers’ attack. If you love jazz, you’ll probably know what we mean. These qualities are not easy to be found in the same musician. This is why we asked Nicola Ziliani to work for us.

We met Nicola in 2013. At that time the band in which he played was looking for a vibraphonist and Paolo suggested them to contact me. Since the first time I played with him I was amazed by the way he dived into music with his whole shape, physically playing with his body – and his soul – before playing with his fingers and mind.

Simple: ready-to-play, easy to use.

Jazz: perfect for walking bass lines as well as for jazz soloing.

Bass: just round, fat, low pizzicato upright bass frequencies.

I see we´re having a little dispute if this upright jazz bass is in tune or not.

Fluffy Audio has done a great job with this bass - period! They have kept from pushing it through the usual meat grinder as we often experience with most libraries!

So basically they´ve been trying to do a realistic interpretation of a upright Jazz bass and they´ve succeded!

For G*** sake its not synth - its an acoustic bass! And YES!!! It´s in tune in a analog perspective!!

OK guys, stop personal attacks and stay in topic please.

You can have different opinions about if the fact that this bass is slightly out of tune is good or bad, but objectively, it is slightly out of tune at least in the demo.

I play fretless bass and I would never accept this far of tune from myself, but that's only my artistic opinion.

No it's not just you I noticed this also (See my post above.)
I think unless i'm doing something wrong there is actually a scripting error or something similar but I haven't had chance to fully investigate yet & can't access script.
Something strange going on with reverb as I said and now that you also noticed I think it quite possibly the case. Sort of try & explain above what I reckon possibly could be wrong above but can't say yet 100% without script itself.
See the return is set at -33dB by default when u open which is real low Slider function appears to work correctly also etc. Possibly they set the default wrongly or it been batch resaved at real low level etc
When you increase this manually as in Kontakt itself reverb sounds cool. Selecting & loading IR itself from menu works fine also as in loading IR itself.
However when you then try & bypass the convIR off using GUI scripted menu it does nothing to actually bypass IR itself
That's why it appears it possibly could be a scripting error as in engine bypass command possibly not directed at correct target or something similar.
Can't say for sure as can't access script but if you have noticed also then something likely wrong I guess unless we both being stupid lol.

Read the manual quickly but is no mention far as I can tell

I did notic eis you start sliding the control the volume seems to drop off. And all his demos seem stuck on the dark setting and he never tries a different one. Oh well, probably our own 3rd party reverbs/convolutrions would be better anyway.

Yeah done a bit more messing around & have only come to conclusion that some further issues lol. The reverb issue still a bit .
As you say there some strange stuff happening.
Another thing i'm getting is some other strange GUI stuff.
Give an example is -> open instrument and control click as in you would to set default levels.
Hold down control and randomly click on pic of guy holding cello, cello -> Double Bass!! (same ballpark lol) and there some default lines appearing that you can't edit. This method say normally used to set default levels but if you then click on instrument settings then levels showing through lol. You can't change them either.
Also mess with compression settings and some other messed up bits occurring.
Shame as I really like the sound etc but there either some scripting issues or patch is affected or there's been some kind of resave wrt levels but there deffo some stuff happening in parts that i'm not to sure about.
Manual itself doesn't seem up to much & I don't think any help controls scripted into interface etc.
As I said a shame
If this is how the library is & it not a different issue then I'm guessing it needs to be updated or fixed real quickly
