Sonic Reality EpiK DrumS Woody Woodmansey SE Kit for Infinite Player KONTAKT-SYNTHiC4TE screenshot

SYNTHiC4TE | June 29 2014 | 8.45 GB
Woody Woodmansey SE Kit for Infinite Player is part of a deluxe collection of drum kits created with legendary producer and engineer Ken Scott (The Beatles, Elton John, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, etc.), and five iconic drummers Bill Cobham, Terry Bozzio, Woody Woodmansey (Bowie), Bob Siebenberg (Supertramp) and Rod Morgenstein (Dixie Dregs) as well as kits in the style of The Beatles and Elton John. EpiK DrumS Stereo Kits has captured authentic vintage drum sounds from a diverse range of classic artists. Multi-velocity and round robin alternating hits provide extreme expression and convincing realism. EpiK DrumS Stereo Kits features ready-to-go finished album quality mixes from Ken Scott himself.

Ken Scott is a legendary British recording engineer and producer who recorded The Beatles, David Bowie, Elton John, Supertramp, Pink Floyd, Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Billy Cobham, Duran Duran, Dixie Dregs, Missing Persons, Devo, Lou Reed, America, George Harrison and many other iconic artists in music history. He had his start in the 60s working as a Tape Op at Abbey Road Studios and from there went on to engineer and produce some of the most acclaimed albums of the 20th Century. Ken has recorded timeless songs such as "I Am The Walrus", "Rocket Man", "Ziggy Stardust", "Dreamer", "Walk On The Wild Side" and many others. One of the unique aspects of Ken’s career in music is the diversity of iconic styles he has been a part of from the 60’s to today… from the birth of Modern Rock ‘n’ Roll (Beatles) to Glam Rock (Bowie) to Fusion (Mahavishnu Orchestra) to New Wave (Missing Persons, Devo) and more.

Ken Scott has collaborated with Sonic Reality to capture samples in a modern software instrument with some of the most sought after distinct character sounds he has recorded over the years. These are sounds that might otherwise be lost in history, but with the same great ears, technique and style Ken has preserved a sonic part of his legacy to bring inspiration to new musicians all over the world.

Quick question. How do you install these? Do you put all the different drummers into one "infinite player" folder and split up the multis and instruments and then move the samples into one sample folder? I only ask, because when "adding library" I'm told that "infinite player" already showed up.

So far what I've done is create an infinite player folder and within that there are Instrument, Multi and Sample sub-folders, within the inst and multi folder there are "SonikSE" folder and then the individual drummers. Does that make sense? Or do y'all keep each in its own folder and skip the "add library" bit?

I have it set up like:

Instruments>EpiK DrumS SE>Drum Kit Pieces>Woody Woodmansey (and other drummer folders)

Multis>EpiK DrumS SE>Drum Kits>Woody Woodmansey (and other drummer folders)

Then put all samples in samples in sample folder together, and then put one copy of the Infinite Player files the main folder where the Instrument, Multis, and Samples are listed.

Then I just added the library to Kontakt. If this doesn't make sense let me know.

Okay Horsemen,..........So,... once I've opened the EpiK DrumS SE that you just so generously provided for us all. I should slip all of the Samples folders from each drumset into the Samples folder that is inside of the previously mentioned software? The Samples folder that holds EpiK DrumS SE's Studio ProFiles Infinite Player_info.nkc / x ?

And if so, does it matter whether I insert each drumset's Samples folder or just and only the samples themselves?

I'm not at all trying to sound condescending, I have to be this detailed in my questioning in order to be successful. Ha! Thanks a billion my friend.

what's big difference between SE KITS and the full version? I guess their bit depth and khz are different? 16bit vs 24bit?

You may not think there is no sound but there is

When I open the Bob Siebenberg SE Kit and load ludwig deep snare imap I also thought there was no sound but I later found the sounds on the E3.D3..F#3 G#3 A#3 E#3 keys

All the keys are white so it is hard to find the sounds at first...Just go up and down the keyboard til you find them

Thanks Horseman but I can see where they are labeled buttons and I pressed on the mouse and the keys but nothing .... I unpacked the library and I added to add library like any other library from a contact so I may have dropped slightly during the unpacking ...

Keys on which sounds are marked in blue and has them by the dozen
a sound on the keyboard, I found only two tones that play and a couple of octaves lower ..... awesome ....
I knew I sometimes bump into sounds and look for them but this is too much ....
For many years I work with contact but this new version NKI .... why has there been so bad!
Thank Horseman and please forgive me ... another answer as to why so many buttons marked blue?
