Samplephonics Leeds Town Hall Organ for Kontakt 5 + MORE by 0RGan1c screenshot

Hello ALL,

Its 0RGan1c

Size: 3.3GB

[center]
The picture speaks for itself. Within the beatifully decorated town hall of the city of Leeds in England lies this spectacular organ, towering high into the music hall and silencing the sounds of the city with its earth shuddering, rich, harmonic tones.

This project was part of a new chapter for Samplephonics known as Sonas, who will be unveiling some spectacular virtual instruments over the coming year. More on that soon!

We spent some time with organist Dr Simon Lindley who told us all about how the instrument works, it's history and even a guided tour up in to the inside of the organ itself!

Simon crafted 6 versatile presets for us and we began the painstaking process of sampling this incredible feat of engineering. Over the next few months we spent many evenings in the town hall recording every single note with multiple round robins and over 10 second note recordings to capture the true sonic character of the organ. The repetetive nature of the task actually became quite hypnotic and a strange bond began to form between us, the organ, the building and the very spirit of the city of Leeds.

Everyone involved in the project worked long hours and for free, so we felt that it was only right to give away the fruits of our labour and hope that the spirit of this incredible instrument could spread throughout the world and help people to craft wonderful music that moves people to do good things.

We packaged the sounds up into a custom Kontakt 5 instrument with a lovely photo of the organ in all of it's splendor, as well as sampler instruments for Kontakt 4, EXS24, Reason NN-XT and Ableton Sampler. We hope you enjoy making music and spread the word about this wonderful organ so others can too!

Ive only seen the one above "freebie announced" and this one. No mods would change anything, they all follow the guidelines. I deleted my comment just below your "freebie" one as i decided not to upload all my samplephonics freebie collection. Unless people decide they want it.

No anger pal, we are all here for the same reason... We love audio!

It's a conspiracy phloopy. Never mind the fact that this is the first time I've been online today or the fact that the only comments that ever get removed are those in which the rules have been broken. Are you implying that someone removed your comments because they don't want anyone to know that this is available at the developer's site for free? And I'd love to know what incentive someone could possibly have for doing so. I'm friends with a lot of the guys here but that doesn't mean they get preferential treatment. I'd appreciate if you didn't do make it seem that way because it's quite insulting.

Well we don't buy anything we obtain on this site so it's a grey area. I am of the opinion that we should try to obtain the release from the developer site if possible to show our support because they've shown theirs but developers make it hard on themselves when they make people jump through hoops to get it. Sometimes people are forced to leave personal information which isn't always preferable especially for the folks here. Also what happens in a situation where the developer stops sharing a release, if it isn't archived using other methods it might disappear altogether. I also can't make a rule that freeware isn't allowed so what do you want me to do? And though it wasn't tagged with a freeware title it does say:

I compressed using KEKA for OSX. It has no rar function so this was the best result i could get. I think introninja had a solution for Win users. I guess i need a new compressor program. Sorry about that. as phloopy said if you have trouble, grab it from that link.

I got this awhile back when it was announced on Audiosex. Usually more of a fan of Drawbar& tonewheel organs vs Pipe Organs. But this is a really nice pipe organ.Really big sounding especially preset 5.Nice coverage of Pipe Organ tones for only 6 presets It sounds really good with choir too

Here are my 2¢ ...

01. I think we should be grateful to BuroakenSowend for posting this (and any other free stuff he or she wants to share with us) ... After all there will be always some people that doesn't want to create any account (even a fake one) to get a supposedly 'free stuff' (which i personally hate).

02. Phloopy is right in pointing out that this is a free stuff and so, this should be stated in the original post very clear with the link to the original site too for people to decide what to choose ... Because in not doing so, as Phloopy has clearly said, people that come to see the post may think it's a commercial stuff (i.e. you must pay for it if you want it) and hence downloading it without knowing they can have it for free (which means that somehow they are deceived by the Original Poster).

03. Doing things well prevents anyone to be 'harmed', which means that (1) It's great that someone posts free stuff that needs an account to have it, and (2) it should be stated in the post also that it can be obtained for free through a 'free' account in this or that link for people to feel free to choose.

Having said this, i encourage BuroakenSowend to upload any of that free stuff he or she says he or she has for people that doesn't want to create 'free' accounts (like me) ...

p.s.: If this encouragement is wrong you'll correct me Catalyst my friend.

NOTE for BuroakenSowend: i encourage you also to use the command line version of Rar/Unrar for MacOSX from Rarlabs itself and which is totally compatible with WinRar for windows. I use it and i can assure you that you'll have no problems with other system's users in the future.

Kind Regards

Not in disagreement. Im just fairly new to this whole uploading scene. But i will do this for freebies. BUT, I did not do it out of deceit (not that it was implied i did). But i just did it as i did it cause i am working on many things and trying to do many things for many things.

Maybe it should be a rule to link to freebies (or atleast the general site).

Sure you did not do it out of deceit! I have no doubt about that ... As you've said you're fairly new to this whole uploading scene and we use to learn through 'trial and error' ... It's for that reason that i encourage you to upload any other freebie that you could have and which need for a 'free' account to download it from the developer site ... Don't worry so much for this 'little' mistake ... we all are learning, and we all make mistakes at one time or another.
