Also there is nothing new as I can see... This is the same as old CoBaLT release. Only samples are converted to .nkx format.

There are some good patches on these but it is hardly worth the real estate footprint. There are many, many useless patches in my opinion. The lite versions shared in past years was just about good enough. I ended up taking a couple patches from this new version and creating a couple monolyths nki's and dumping the rest. Only trouble is a monolith nki from these seems to take forever to load. Like several minutes, which is wierd since the actual size of the resulting monoliths weren't that big.

add an exception to your antivirus and windows defender for kontakt app, and or for the folder in wich u keep your libs, oherwise they scan every single sample being loaded and therefore it takes an eternity to load

Personally I disable my anti-virus when making music. If you don't you will find that every little thing takes a million times longer as it's all senselessly scanned. You should see a marked increase in performance if you do this. The difference only in loading time of Cubase is significant forget about all other functions which would be slow as molasses otherwise. Try it out, I think it would help a lot with your issues.

yes, there's a distorted version that weights the double than the clean one. Actually, there are a single Prominy's LPC product.

The only benefit of this release is that the nkx contains compressed samples (NCW). I'll kill to know how they do that. Also, this "homemade compressed" releases frequently has started pointless flames (requiem pro, some piano release,...).

This library is still today pretty good. It's a shame that don't has double-track multi. Well, the LE edition has one, but with few articulations.

My only upload here was the update v2.50 of this library LoL. Well, better than nothing.. :)

In addition of the compression of the samples (ncw), packing them in nkx sample containers speeds up notably the loading times, because it reduces the spreading of the individual ncw samples.

That's why there are "homemade" releases like this. Converting to ncw is something we all can do. Packing in nkx containers not. I suppose NI makes money with this.

But if you're fine with your current ncw samples all you need is the last update (2.50). Like I said before I uploaded it here some time ago. If the links are dead I can reup it.

I'm on a Mac so no antivirus. Not sure what is taking so long to scan other than the Finder. Regular non monolith lib's load pretty fast.

Actually even on a Mac you should be using anti-virus because there is a possibility of infection (though less prevalent in the wild) and if it grows in market share there will be a tipping point when attacks will be leveraged against the platform more frequently.

Concerning the monolith loading time: I've actually seen this issue discussed at the NI forums from YEARS back. It's like Ableton Live PDC all over again. rofl

Have you opened a topic concerning this on AudioSex? Perhaps we can figure this out over there.
