it means that this library must be registered and activated with native access. the buyer of such a library does not need to buy a license for kontakt full, it can work with the freeware kontakt player.
it doesn't matter which kontakt version you have - freeware player or legit full. libraries that compatible with kontakt player must be registered and activated to use it with legit version.

type 2 libraries
visit Wavesfactory Legacy Drums homepage

you will see this in the end of a page:
Works with FULL version of Kontakt 5.5.2 and newer.
Kontakt Player will run in demo mode.

it means that this library is not in the native instruments libraries database and cannot be activated and loaded kontakt player.
this type of libraries can be created by any user who has a license for kontakt full, the developers of such libraries have the right to sell these libraries without any royalties to native instruments, but buyers of such libraries must either already have a license for kontakt full, or purchase this license is optional.

REMEMBER:
- to use type 1 libraries without registration and activation, you need kontakt cracked.

- to use type 2 libraries you need either legit kontakt full or kontakt cracked.

now do you understand how the libraries for the kontakt full version differ from the libraries for the kontakt player version?

I actually knew most of that even. My initial question was actually a different one which is not explained directly by that text and had more to do with the wallpapers.

To explain it: Talula´s answer to someone else was "libraries for the full Kontakt version don´t need a nicnt file" and I thought he meant they don´t need it to show up in the libraries tab with wallpaper (but he meant just to run in Kontakt in the first place, without registration).
So I was wondering if libraries for full Kontakt show up with wallpaper even if they don´t come without nicnt file, or vice versa, if libraries that officially provide a nicnt file with wallpaper are working only in the free Kontakt player. Which both seemed unlogical to me, and, as I concluded after realizing how my questions have been misunderstood, both is not the case.

Adding the wallpaper topic to the explanation you kindly reposted, it is now clear that there are

1. libraries officially supported by NI, which makes them being entitled to also run in free Kontakt player (thus easier to sell to a broader audience, but companies have to pay NI for that in return). As a bonus, these libraries have a wallpaper to show up in a visually nice way in Kontakt. They only work with registration and activation.
The cracked Kontakt is taking away the need for that.

2. libraries that are not offcially supported by NI, which makes them not being entitled for use in free Kontakt player and having a wallpaper in Kontakt.
Developers don´t need to pay NI, but they get a less broad customer audience as only customers who have the full version of Kontakt can use them. Also (but this is an assumption of me) their libraries are less protected from piracy as they don´t need extra activation and thus also a pirated copy can be used with a legit (full version) Kontakt.

Hey Olymoon, thanks! But as i said I got my questions actually answered by concluding from the information, even though it wasn´t directly an answer to what I actually asked. But Talula (in his charming way) encouraged me to think, so I did that ;-)
