Introducing Riffendium 6 – Funky/Disco Guitars for Kontakt 5.8
Exciting rhythmic performances for your vintage an modern pop/disco/funky productions!

RIFFENDIUM SERIES is a themed sample library collection for modern producers and composers.
It includes loops of real, modeled, synthesized and designed instruments, resulting in an original palette of inspiring sounds for creators of electronic and organic music.
Our sixth release in this series is a collection of electric guitar loops which spans from clean rhythms to vintage riffs perfect for vintage disco/funk music but also Electronic and Modern compositions.

2+2 Instruments
RIFFENDIUM 6 includes 2+2 instruments: RIFFENDIUM 6 and RIFFENDIUM 6 REV, and their DI and REV DI counterparts, bundled in a single package. RIFFENDIUM 6’s samples pool is made of recordings taken from the amplifier’s output and offers ready made guitar sounds, for a fast workflow. RIFFENDIUM 6 REV offers the same sample pool, but adds the option to reverse each slice to create exciting new guitar parts and soundscapes.

RIFFENDIUM 6 DI and REV DI offer samples taken from the guitar output signal, allowing you to use your favourite Amp Simulator and guitar chain, to fit your music 100%.

Articulations Sequencer
Generate unique custom loops by using RIFFENDIUM6’s articulations sequencer. Since the articulations come from a real performance, the result will always sound like a real guitarist playing a new guitar part

40 Guitar Performances
Start from one of the 40 original recordings, then edit, re-arrange the slices, randomise, save new guitar parts. This sixth release includes guitar loops that will fit perfectly in your dance/funky music composition as well as many other styles of music, from electro to film scoring.

From Guitars to Infinity. And more with REV!
RIFFENDIUM 6’s engine makes it incredibly easy to create a guitar sound that fits your song, but it also allows you to build out-wordly sounds that you won’t believe they originated from a guitar performance.

And now, with RIFFENDIUM 6 REV and REV DI, you can manipulate your performances to a totally different level!

No more stale one-key loops. These loops are alive!
Stale loops will hardly fit your music chords and will result as a robotic repetition of the same thing over and over. RIFFENDIUM 6’s loops will follow your chords as they were recorded in most major and minor shapes (and more than just that). RIFFENDIUM 6’s loops use Round Robins, therefore at every cycle the loop will sound slightly different, like a real guitar performance.

Pedals, Speakers and Effects
RIFFENDIUM 6 provides the straight Amp Output signal and different Cabinets simulations for more tweak-ability. You can also bypass RIFFENDIUM 5 speaker simulations and use your favourite Cabinet impulse responses. Also, 4 distortion, 4 modulation effects plus master delay and reverb are available for more sound tweaking.

NOTE:
To add snapshots, for every instrument you need to click on the wrench icon, go into Instrument Settings, Snapshots, and click on Show. A window will pop up; drag & drop the snapshots folder into there.

Thank you.
Reminds me of the Scarbee Funk Guitarist library.

This is something a bit different, as you will see.
I found this instantly smoother to get into and play, and to record a realtime take.
And the articulations sequencer is cool too.
The whole thing sounds more natural in certain places that Scarbee didn't, imo.
And the presets! My gosh!
Audiofier maybe have a few more Kontakt tools at the present though, than when Scarbee did it.
Be interested to hear what people think of it...

What's the difference of Riffendium and Riffendium DI? Takes so log to open in Kontakt. Thanks!

The regular sample pool is from amplifier output signals, the DI ones are from direct guitar output signals allowing you to use your favourite guitar amp simulator so DI sounds are more raw I believe.

Problems extracting with keka, I had to unrar the release with winrar on windows: now everything works.
Remember to add snapshots for all 4 instruments and resave (patch only)

Interesting. Yeah, I had to use WinRar to create that.
I'll try to unpack it with Keka and see what.
Thanks.

Yeah definitely NOT extracting correctly with Keka on Mac, UnRarX did it (didn't need WinRar or Windows)

Yep. But hey, that's not uncommon for Keka is it.
This happens to me with other people's releases too, so I have the other options for unarchiving.
I can't speak for Keka, but this is unpacking fine for others, otherwise.

Actually that may confuse people when they don't find what you said; sorry but you are incorrect.
There is no way to and no need anyway to:
A) "REsave", because you haven't saved prior !, and plus
B) simply showing Kontakt where the Snapshots path is/dragging them to the popup folder found after the wrench icon, as per usual, is all that is needed.

This sounds sick, thanks Smoove. Can't wait to test drive later.
Some of the snapshot demos are Red Hot Chilli Pepper like, awesomeness.

Hello Guys, I'm not a musician, just make some tracks and i know i have to train my ears but i don't understand why there is not root note of each loop, sequence, is it possible to know that ? thanks

I think you need to check out the keyswitches, and how it all works.
You can play in any key you want.

You're right but i only manage to play loops, yellow keys only plays licks. Loops are on C1 and C2 i think, i only manage to play those loops, For example if i play D2, nothing is played.

No they aren't. The TRIGGER keys are C1 and D1.
They trigger a loop.
C0 to G0 are the 8 memory slots.
From E1 upwards to E5 are the loops, including pitch shifted samples.
And even on an 88 note controller, you need to transpose to reach beyond all mapped loops, beyond C6.
It's all in the manual though, my friend.
Why not read it?

I read it but don't know if it's my version of kontakt, but it doesn't work for me. Thanks anyway for those explanations.

Happy to help you on Audiosex with any Kontakt problems.
This is working fine for the rest of us.
I'm really thinking you just need to familiarise with this type of triggering though.
