KONTAKT - 68 GB
We embarked upon a six month long journey to fill what we believe is a void in today's synth and sample library market. Scoring Synths is the exciting end product of recording two of the most iconic synthesizers in the world, reamping or "worldizing" them into one of the best sounding live rooms in the U.S., and re-recording them with an array of priceless vintage microphones. From the synths themselves, to the converters, preamps, mastering loudspeakers, mics and scoring stage, not a single sonic compromise was made in the process of creating this powerful new tool. Scoring Synths truly is the first sample library of its kind.

Modern film score relies heavily on synthesizers to accompany and reinforce the sections of the orchestra, yet rarely do those synth tones experience the sonic benefit of being recorded in the same acoustic space. Classic mono synths offer a richness in plangency and punch, while lacking a degree of flexibility and recall ability. Modern soft synths have seemingly limitless features but fall short sonically when compared with their older analogue counterparts. Our goal was to take the best aspects of the old and the new, craft tones specifically designed for film score production and orchestral compositions, immerse that in a lush acoustic environment, and create something that simply hadn't existed until now. We are incredibly proud to announce our first product and a new benchmark in synthesizer sample libraries -- Scoring Synths.

First of all, thanks for all of the stuff you deliver here.
I saw the patch list, I haven't downloaded the library, so I can't speak of it of course, I only show my concerns about a trend to a very unfortunate direction.

Just use any kind of soft synth through altiverb or something and get the same kind of sound without having to waste 70 gb of space.

I don’t get this library. I mean I get what they were wanting to capture, but why sample a synth in a room when impulse responses of spaces are available to anyone seeking this sound? Appreciate the upload though.

He sampled Minimoog and Moog Sub 37 thats all, waste of HDD space.

Is that what they sampled? Thx for the info. I legit couldn't find like the most important detail anywhere I looked! Anyway, thanks Talula & happy easter! (is a bit of a mystery why anyone would want this?)
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

It is undoubtedly an interesting library but a little too heavy for my taste. I think it's enough Omnisphere along with some external effects to get very similar sounds.

i usually download these libraries, saying "maybe one day... just in case..."....
there are kontakt libraries, less than 5 gb, with hundreds and hundreds of patches, with plenty of tools to modify the sound...

i guess the concept here was "lets take this famous analog synth, lets create a few pads, plucks or basses, deep sample it note by note, so the user can listen to exactly the same sound as we did"-...

that makes almost 100gb of hd, for a few dozen patches.
sure, no virtual synth will ever make these sounds...but the problem is, what make these old synths great, is when we start using the arpegiators..... or changing filters, to hear it screaming...
these 68gb...those sounds will forever sound the same, exactly as they were captured and sampled...

sure, 3-4TB hard drives don't cost a lost, these days... but 68gb here... 50 gb there... and another 30 here... and another 80 there....

like many people said, omnisphere, ran with some effects, then, a bit of saturation, lo-fi, and and chain with 2 or 3 reverb and delays....all that by using some great analog-sounding effects from Fxpansion, and finally, a step sequencer or arpegiattor...
it will sound 99% close to any hardware sound... and it can still mangled and tweaked in 1 trillion ways.

68Gb...wow

of course, some people will find this super interesting. tastes and colors.....

thanks for the uploader.

quote by jazzzzIf it's what I think it is, based on the description, they took the synth and resampled its sound bank through different speakers, maybe in different rooms etc.
Can it be effective and useful? Probably. Just like Spitfire has its huge fanbase.
Many people were heavily disagreeing when I put a war against SF because they use the same samples to a Chamber Strings library and then to a Symphonic Strings library that is supposed to contain 16 violins. Using the same samples with different panning, reverb and whatever bells and whistles.

Dude FFS.. just dont download it.. what's with all this diatribe? what's actually the point? Are you reviewing wares you haven't used or downloaded? Oh I haven't downloaded it but I think.. blah blah.. Spitfiers shit but .. blah blah.. Seriously just dont.. just pass and move on man, its not very "Jazz" Your bollocks bleat ts hurting my brain

Thanks Talula.. cheers

It's a comments section... they all posted their comments. If you don't like them, don't read them... just pass them up and move on man... it's not very "jazz" of you to use up SO MUCH space in the comments section... your brain has been compromised by your bollocks.

My Bad .. fixed The spoiler was n the quotation reply.. but my point is, why deride or review something you dont have? Admittedly its a huge library, but such comments are about as useful as an ashtray on a motorbike
