Putting the most detailed, realistic, versatile, and playable instruments at your fingertips, Broadway Big Band™ is an indispensable tool for creating Jazz, Funk, Pop, Blues, R&B, Latin, Hip-Hop, and much more…

NEW FEATURES IN VERSION 2
REAL-TIME ORCHESTRATOR (RTO)
A groundbreaking feature enabling polyphonic, poly-rhythmic legato across a mixed section of instruments. Using RTO you can play an entire section on the keyboard, and the notes you play are orchestrated in real time and distributed to the various instruments in the RTO multi, based on orchestration schemes that you can create yourself. This is an extremely powerful system which is extremely easy to use. Great for live shows, as well as tracking under tight deadlines. It also offers articulation presets which can replace the built-in key-switching with alternative midi triggers such as foot-switches, freeing your left hand for playing notes rather than key-switches.

UNISON SECTION
From now on, you can use any of the Broadway Big Band wind instruments multiple times in the arrangement or in a multi, even when playing unison, creating a realistic section of multiple instruments. This means that even with multiple instances of just one instrument, you can still get a realistic section of multiple instruments playing in unison. The feature is not some kind of a doubling effect, but rather it uses different samples, and performs slight adjustments to make sure each instance of the instrument sounds a little different from the other. The results are very realistic. The feature also includes “Humanize” and “Detune” knobs for further control over the section sound.

NOTATION SOFTWARE SUPPORT
With version 2.0, “Notation mode” has been added to all of the Broadway Big Band instruments, to enable notation programs to communicate with Broadway Big Band and use it for playback of scores, including all included articulations and dynamics. The new Notation mode also enables integration with Cubase Expression maps. This was not previously possible due to the unique articulation switching system in Broadway Big Band. The new Notation Mode uses an alternative system of key-switching that is more in line with the way notation programs operate.

VELOCITY CURVE CONTROL
Due to the extended dynamic range of the wind instruments included in Broadway Big Band, it is sometimes difficult to keep dynamics under control when using a MIDI keyboard’s velocity. To help overcome this, we’ve added a new knob to control the velocity curve, which helps adjusting the responsiveness of the Broadway Big Band instruments to various MIDI keyboards. The new velocity curve control feature can also be MIDI automated to make changes within a song as needed.

A NEW ARTICULATION ADDED TO TENOR SAXOPHONE 1
FP+Vibrato, Added both as a temporary articulation and in combination with the existing “Strong Vibrato” articulation, as a new “Deep Vibrato” playing mode.

VARIOUS IMPROVEMENTS IN PROGRAMMING AND UI
Improved consistency of levels and envelope programming and a new and improved user interface.

Put the "Fable Sound" inside "RTO" in "/Documents/Native Instruments/Kontakt/pictures"
If you use Kontakt 5, must be Kontakt 5/pictures

I tried this, but it did not work. All that I see is a grey screen with the features but no picture

Thanks Talula!

For Kontakt Portable users, RTO folder goes into
(NI Kontakt Port Folder)...\UserData\Kontakt5\pictures\Fable Sounds

Wow! Thanks Talula! You keep posting our (my =) fave libs / updates! Just uncanny :D or maybe just unerring good taste!

I have the symlink K581, and can't work out where to put the (I think) missing RTO graphics. It works in the standalone, but not the .dll. Same for K602. Just glitches like missing files =( I've tried multiple locations, multiple repeated, nested folders etcs!)
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

Edit:
Ok, so I checked it, the solution for Mac users: Put the Fable Sounds folder (with the RTO folder inside) into this location:
Library(the main one, NOT the user-specific) > Application Support > Native Instruments > Kontakt 5 (or Kontakt, if you use version 6) > pictures

It's ok, I solved it, thanks for the help guys!

For anyone else struggling with K581 (symlink), the folder structure is totally different, you'll need to make directories like modmid said:

[K581symlink]\NI Kontakt 5.8.1\C\UserData\Kontakt5\pictures\Fable Sounds\RTO

(you'll have to make the userdata folder ^, instead of where it "should" go)
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

Why did I give you the instruction for mac when you asked for symlink (pc) version is odd. The others asked it above instead. Sorry, I may have commented in a somnambulist moment.

It's ok, I got there in the end thru random elimination, all still helps. (My somnambulist moment has stretched out for a while, trying to install this, biggest issue I had! =)
Thx to anybody posting Spitfire / OTB libs!

There's not so much to say, as the rars contain the files in their exact folder structure (except RTO Graphics v2.0.rar).
If your OS has the option to merge the extracted folder with the existing one, go for it.
Otherwise you had better extracting each rar to either a different location or choosing the option of the OS "keep both", in this case you would get multiple folders with the name of the library and a number at the end. Then you move every subfolder respectively to its named location.
Everything is in a logical order visually, as I said, except the RTO stuff, in which you have to get the Fable Sounds folder with its RTO folder inside, and move it to hard drive > Library > Application Support > Native Instruments > Kontakt 5 (or Kontakt, if you use version 6) > pictures
(if you are on mac)

Just to avoid confusion, the extracted 3 files from Broadway Big Band Extras v2.0.rar go directly to the main folder of the library. replacing the similarly named files of the old version. (for your safety, better save those old files somewhere else, instead of overwriting)

So, everything loaded but had to go in and re-save all instruments and multis because the paths weren't the same. Originally, all my samples were just in one folder. This update seems to have had a samples folder with multiple folders for each instrument. Anyone know of a quicker way?
  Resident 31.01.2017 598

No, it's not necessary to do re-save! Everything loads fine IF you put the Instruments 2.0 folder inside the Instruments folder. The same way about Multis, the 2.0 folder goes to the Multis folder.
And there's nothing to do with Samples folder. The update contains only 2 .nkx (with their .nkc) that go directly to the Samples folder.

Thanks! What I did was overwrite all instruments and multis from the 2.0 folder. In the Instruments folder by your method wouldn't I have four folders?
Brass , Reeds, Rhythm Section, Instruments 2.0?

Anyways, I did a batch re-save and all is working now, except banjos. Not sure how everything got to the point where it couldn't find the samples.
