Persian Ney by 0on3 FREE screenshot
Kontakt | 17,1 MB
The typical Persian ney is held by two hands and has 6 holes, one of which is on the back. The Arab and Turkish ney have 7 holes. Each hole has practically a one-tone capacity of interval so that for example, if you play a D you can easily go to D# solely through changes of the embouchure. The thumb hole has 4 notes usually used, if using the Doga ney these notes would be A, Bb, B3/4, and B.

The Ney used in this Projekt is only 18 inches long, It's sound is very close to that of a flute. Several take were completed to get the trill, flutter, staccato's and long draws needed to build this file.

Ive created several files "All velocity Sensitive and Multi-Layered" . Ive tried to create these files as diverse as possible, so that many different senarios would be available to you within all these kontakt builds.

:knowledge
The ney is a musical instrument of the woodwind family. Unlike other woodwind instruments, a ney produces its sound from the flow of air against an edge, instead of using a reed . A musician who plays the ney is generally referred to as either a flautist or a flutist. ney tones are sweet and blend well with other instruments. The ney's pitch, and various aspects of its timbre are flexible, allowing a very high degree of instantaneous expressive control, although it is still very hard to control high-pitched sounds.

The ney has appeared in many different forms in many different locations around the world. A ney made from a mammoth tusk, found in the Swabian Alb and dated to 30,000 to 37,000 years ago and one seven-hole ney made from a swan's bone in the Geienklosterle cave in Germany to circa 36,000 years ago are among the oldest known musical instruments. Some early ney's were made out of the tibia (leg bone).
