thanks Klamer... from the title (using 9th wonder) i already assumed this was suspect at best but figured I'd at least give it a try to see if there was at least a kick or snare I could grab and tweak to my taste but thanks for telling us it's a bunch of MP3's. I'm sorry if some disagree and they are probably the same people that think it's acceptable to sample from YOUTUBE lol... and don't get me wrong.. the right engineer and person with the skills can make anything sound good and make it work but 99% of the time that is not the case and these sample kits that contain MP3s are just crap and useless in my opinion but that's just me. If I want a low quality sound I'll sample it myself at 8bit/12bit or 22.khz or whatever.

I sample from lo fi records all the time It gives character to the mix. Old James Brown records defined early hip hop. You think that was pristine 24 bit haha. I listened to soul music on am radio. It sounded better to me. So i guess we disagree.

i still rather sample James Brown from a vinyl record NOT from an MP3 but to each is own... simply saying that if it's a MP3 the quality isn't the best source when you consider that the original WAV is going to sound better. granted we could tweak a fart and it will sound good... my only point is the same sound in MP3 or WAV.... people will prefer the WAV and not the compressed sounding MP3... just my thoughts.

I'm always skeptical of anything found on KOS... again just my opinion. hey all uploads are appreciated by the way... we just don't have to like them all.
