Samples, MIDI, SF, Akai
Hard to find infos for this on the net. It's a set of two AKAI sample CDs, first one contains guitar licks and notes, second one contains guitars, cajon, voices, castanets and palmas.

NOTE: THIS IS AN AKAI SAMPLING CD AND DOESN'T CONTAIN WAV FILES OR SIMILAR!
To access these samples, you'll need to use them with the real machine, NI Kontakt or convert them with a sample converter. Your reward for this work is a collection of old skool samples sounding a lot more different from today's loop collection stuff. A thorough collection of sample converters can be found here:

Where's you problem with them?

I tried exctracting them with winrar (usually works with .iso) but I got "bad archive or file format".

Also tried with DAEMON tools lite, but that didn't work either but I think that might be my DAEMON tools because I've had that problem with other iso packages lately.

Still, WinRar usually works but not this time.

Admit it, you didn't really read the description.

Eh, yes I did.

Description says it's not .wav files inside the .iso but I still need to get to the files inside the .iso so I can use them with Kontakt. What are you suggesting? I load the iso directly in Kontakt lol?

I'm probably going to reinstall Daemon tools so I can mount the iso properly but I just wanted to know if other people had the same problem before I bothered to.

Like I said, WinRar usually gets the job done with iso...

There is no standard PC readable files in the ISO. It's in a filesystem the computer can't understand.

You mount it in daemon tools and without trying to open it in explorer, you just use the daemon tool drive letter in Kontakt. Or you use a tool like Extreme sample converter to mount and extract the files.

There's nothing winrar could do here.

I tried mounting with daemon tools but like I said, it didn't work either.

I'll try reinstalling it. Must be an issue with my daemon.

Thanks for the help.

Use CdXtrack, is maybe the only one to convert. Above cdXtrack youll see a 'TAB' for search *.iso files, that is it, at the right corner youll see the name of folder 'PARTITION A', PARTITION B', PARTITION C' uo to H. Select all them and push the button at the right down corner> SAVE. Choose a folder and that all converted.
That is the soft most used to convert, people say that is not a good rate conversion, but, for me to use AKAI, it is perfect. The main problem is that, people use this to convert top 24bit samples to Kontakt, in other words youll never hear the perfectiion of enginers sound records in the true, samples will have gasps etc.
