I'm not one to post with negative commentary generally, but I just wanted to post an observation. Complexity is something one will not find in this sample CD any more than one finds it in other 4/4 dance music. I expected something poly-rhythmic ... that would be complex.
I was at a party and overheard a friend disparaging music that was in 4/4 in contrast to the complex beats in the jungle genre. I let him know that the jungle genre was in the 4/4 time signature as well and that cranking the tempo up to 160 bpm and adding a bunch of snare and high hat 32nd notes doesn't make a beat more complex ... it just makes it busy.
