ill.Gates ADM Dubstep Bass Pack for Ableton Live screenshot
Team SYNTHiC4TE | March 09 2014 | 2.8 MB
10 Ableton Live Device Racks created using Ableton’s FM synthesizer ‘Operator’and a host of audio and MIDI FX, to create a wide range of aggressive Dubstep bass and lead sounds.

5 Ableton Live Instrument Racks (George Dub-ya Bass, Devil’s Dub Bass, Digital Dub Bass, Fierce Fire Bass, and Talking Bass)
5 Ableton Live Multiband Audio Effect Racks (Flanger Delay, Multiband Distortion, Distortion Mids & Highs, EQ Vowels, Chorus on the Highs)
Live Project in which the Demonstration Track was made.
* This pack requires Ableton Live 9 and Operator.

I’ve created a collection of bass instruments especially for anyone looking to create dubstep style basses in Ableton Live. I’ve been asked about whether or not you need some expensive third party plug in to make these kinds of sounds. Of course you don’t! So I thought I’d make a some directly inside Ableton, using the Operator synth.

The 5 Ableton Live Instruments cover a range of different dub step bass sounds, from a traditional wobbler to a talking vowel bass. The 5 MultiBand Audio FX will allow you to add character to certain frequencies, while preserving the sound of others. The included Live Project will give you ideas on how to use these sounds in a track. Feel free to use the clips in your own productions and remixes. Check out the video below as I go over the pack in detail.

i have yet to see one of your comments on this website that qualifies as a well informed statement. You pollute Audioz with unformulated opinions and it's annoying. No one cares if you like or dislike dubstep. Most quality producers don't believe in genres in the first place. Obviously you're not listening to the right producers or your acid is just not up to Grateful Dead standards. Think before you post: Are my thoughts really worth sharing? If not, please remain silent.

Unfortunately the media over dosed us with dubstep add skrillex onto that and the back lash would have to be saying we hated it which is a shame really as it was one of the freshest genres to evolve for quite sometime alongside breakcore which requires some special ear training to appreciate.

You can use a lot of the dubstep sounds, processes and styles for many other genres.

The guy who made this pack clearly doesn't know much about using FM synthesis when it comes to the raunchier electronic music areas, and is clearly not ill.Gates, but he's got a pretty cool thought process and an efficient routing method that a lot of producers can appreciate and apply. That's probably why Dillon is repping it. He's all about production methodology, not sound design. Support ill.Gates. He's got a great thought process when it comes to approaching production that every musician can benefit from.

by the way, if you've heard any track by skrillex, you would know that he doesn't produce electro. Also, serious artist loathes genres because they are constraining to music. Figure out what defines each genre before you start typecasting artists.
