Let's be clear, Johnny's kits aren't great at all. However, I almost totally hate trap music, but he is the most influential and emulated Trap producer of them all. Even by those those more prominent than him. (Cardiak, Young Chop, Mike Will, Sledgren, Cardo, Vybe, Superstar O)

He has his own style that some may not take to., but he's def not trash. His kits are bad, nonetheless.

I don't excuse thievery in any way, whatsoever. I'm speaking on him being called a terrible producer, which is very subjective, but that, he's not. His kits are half-assed. But his production for that sub-genre isn't.

99% of these kits are BS. Everything from the worst - Loopmaster, through to (just as bad) Drum Broker is rubbish, a complete rip off. Hip Hop/Urban/Trap etc producers don't know what good drums are. Producers in the 90s knew, but most stuff since 2000 is wack! This Johnny Juliano guy isnt a mixing engineer but people will still use his shit sounds in their production. He might be alright at making music but that dosnt mean he can sell qulaity kits.

Come on, now. I could say the same thing about Trance/Dance/EDM based on majority of the kits as well, but I wont go that far based a couple bad kits or songs I may have heard.

Just curious - which sample developer do you think has good electric drum kits? Not just hip hop/trap stuff but in general. While Loopmasters are mixed bag and their packs never have a large collection of drum samples (with the exception of Deadmau5 XFER which is pretty good), I thought it's not that terrible.

fuck it, all trap kits are the same... always the same old sounds i wonder where all these signature trap sounds come from (like that typical kinda wide snare etc) anyone knows whether it's from a drum machine or something like that?

can't agree with the statement that trap producers don't know good drums... you might not like it but there's some awesome produced, mixed and mastered stuff out there...
