Anyone able to tell me how this Dominatrix guy separated the vocals? What kind of PlugIn can be used for this?

Not an actual topic, but hopefully it will wake up again ;-)
Dominatrix (and other re-mixers) makes a big secret out of it. I asked him (by his youtube channel, but no reply :-(
I tried it then myself by extracting the audio from the 5.1 DM records. Then worked on the main vocal file with Melodyne. But the main vocal file had still much other effects and sounds on. The result wasnt really good to use in a remix. (Btw: Rush was the song I worked on)

Is there meanwhile a workaround for how to make acapellas with decent results, or is software just not there yet (I coudnt find yet anything very useful in the net)?

Tho i haven't herd these, I'm guessing the 5.1 DVDA mixes and some freeform FFT VST (like Mashtactic or R-mix)?
