"Moonshell?" You may ask?

We want to inform you about an important change regarding Electric Keys – Ivory.

Due to a trademark concern, we’ve taken the decision to rename the instrument to Electric Keys – Moonshell. While the name has changed, the instrument itself remains 100% identical in every way.

To make this transition as smooth as possible:

Your updated license for Electric Keys – Moonshell has already been added to your account. You’ll find it available now in Native Access.

Gotcha. So Those who are already using ivory don't need to re-download it. I guess there was some trademark clash with Synthology IVORY piano

Thanks so much for this offering. Can someone explain to me why with the Kontakt 8 portable releases from Audioz (and even the installed versions here on Audioz) , many of these Kontakt instruments will not load and give the usual message: "the instrument belongs to a library that is not currently installed". I must be missing some critical step or understanding. Is there a process I need to know about to use these wonderful releases with Audioz releases of the main Kontakt app? Thanks for helping; not sure who else to ask. I suspect it is something simple I just don't understand.

you need to update the Nativeaccess xml

https://api.native-instruments.com/static/phints/NativeAccess.xml

follow link, right click and save as.

Replace the file which is in:

c programfiles/common files/ native instruments/service center

and/or in

c programfiles/native instruments/service center

So nice of you to help. Followed all of your great directions, but still the same problem. What looks like locked libraries from Audios give the same message: "the instrument belongs to a library that is not currently installed". Hmmm curious. Any other thoughts? Is there something I need to use to import the library? Currently I am simply dragging the instrument file into the interface.

The "the instrument belongs to a library that is not currently installed" is 100% an issue with your nativeaccess.xml. Are you sure you have the newest version?

do you use multiple instances of Kontakt? for example ,do you use Portable VkDanilov alongside R2R and or BobDule version? cause that often interrupts the system.
i had troubles too in the past when i was using Kontakt developed by multiple teams.
my expierience is to just use but 1 ...in my case..i always use BobDule version, and it neva lets me down.it handles all librarys.custom made ones and official ones.

Only using one instance and the Audioz release: Native Instruments Kontakt 8 v8.4.1 PORTABLE-vkDanilov. Suggestions? AND so nice of you to help. Perhaps I will stop trying the portable and try your suggested version which gets installed.

Jahman..try the BD release..it wont hurt your machine at all.
BobDule knows what he is doing, his releases never ever let me down.
R2R neva let me down either, but that release doesnt support custom made library nicnt.

I had many issues like that for months and try so many "fixes" but nothing was better that the Nuke
Factory reset my mac and start all over from scratch

I know it's not funny to do something like that but some time you need a fresh start and if you BKP regularly it shouldn't be a big deal
But if you are like me that I didn't BKP, you'll suffer but in the end you'll enjoy your new stable system again

First time I factory reset I didn't have a good back up so I started little by little reinstalling essential and every time my system was stable and everything was running as it should I install something new and redo the backups just in case
Last week some new plugin ruined Komplete Kontrol so I just went back to my previous BKP and viola!

Again if you're like me that love trying things out, every time you see something new ,you should get this habit of regularly backing up your system whenever is stable and right before doing a new install that could harm your delicate system

I'm using the portable version and can confirm that there is no sound. All other libraries in the Electric Keys series work fine. I do note that there is a script warning in the bottom left hand corner of Kontakt when I have Moonshell open saying something about the velocity value being clipped to 1 if this means anything.

hi, same here. no sounds after installing.

Everyone who doesn't get sound. See above and update your NativeAccess.xml.

I get no sounds. But on the bottom of GUI, it says : SCRIPT WARNING (Line :20967, Script: 2): set_event_par(): Velocity value must be between 1 and 127! Input value was clipped to 1. Never seen this warning on any library used before.....How to fix?

Update. Odd behavior, I installed Ivory kontakt library, and it works no problems. If this is the exact release but under different name, what's changed? Strange.

Compare the .nicnt files. They have different upid ids.

<UPID>18fa0257-30a9-4b13-82be-b679dc341096</UPID>
<Name>Electric Keys - Ivory</Name>
<UPID>a1890c80-6a59-4c6c-89b7-9a69294346f4</UPID>
<Name>Electric Keys - Moonshell</Name>
You need to update nativeaccess.xml

velocity value problem is supposed to be in the script, it has nothing to do with registering it in Kontakt, nor with .nicnt file.
To troubleshoot: have you guys tried to move the modwheel? or in the instrument's setup part changing anything related to velocity?

After loading in Ivory. And then loading Moonshell its working with sound.

Lemme try that workaround. Thanks.

Hi Morpheus. As I said, I installed Ivory. It worked. Then I installed Moonshell, and now Moonshell is working. Do you think we can uninstall Ivory and Moonshine will still work? With no messages about the Script Error?

it need to keep ivory installed to load sound.

so it is totally useless alone
and double space with both

a pure NI absurdity.
