Best synthwave which is closer to 80s, italo disco and such genres is WITHOUT SIDECHAIN) more analog synths (korg, moog, roland, oberheim, cs80, prophets, arps etc) , fm8, vintage sounding good VA synths, top saturators with tape, console, tubes, transistors, transformers emulations, old classic compressors, verbs and eqs, digital oldies goldies, ADC and DAC emus of those times, vinyls and classic samples of linn, rolands, other drummachines, orch hits, gated verbs etc.) I like this sound) behringer also gives us closer sounds of that classics for cheap.
