Manifest Audio MIDI Toolset 001 (Max for Live Device) screenshot
AudioZ Exclusive | Max for Live Device | 13.4 MB
MIDI Tools are an innovative new category of creative devices available in Live 12. Designed by Ableton Certified Trainer Noah Pred to accelerate workflow, enhance creativity, and access new musical ideas, our inaugural MIDI Toolset includes four MIDI Generators and eight MIDI Transformers.

Harness the power of seven different randomization algorithms to generate compelling new melodies and chords with Metaflux, take polyrhythmic expression to the limit with Metarhythm, intuitively draw complex gestures with Metasketch, and carve new melodic contours with Metapath.

Then take things further and transform your MIDI by imposing unique rhythmic patterning on existing sequences with Euclidifier, adding dramatic variations with Fluctuator or more subtle changes with Inebriator, harness note activation to rapidly generate pattern variations with Mutator, use Octavator for randomized transpositions by octave, use Swinger for randomized per-note shuffle timing, Tether to randomly add note ties, or apply Tilter to adjust chance, velocity, and length on a key-scaled, pitch-relative basis.

All MIDI Tools are scale aware and Info View annotated to seamlessly enhance your creative experience.

I´m a bit curious what you replied. I managed somehow to make the tools show up in the dropdown menu in the midi editor section, but I just dropped the files into the main user library folder, which is not how it´s explained to do in the manual.

*he asked what OS you use.

I've yet to install this, but I use custom folder for all M4L plugs and libraries because Ableton's handling of it doesn't make sense or fit my workflow. Will this work OK using custom folders?

Thx for reply.

I tried to make this folder for myself "User Library Presets → MIDI Tools →
Transformations" as I didn´t found it, but that didn´t work for me.

Windows 11 here btw.

Hmm.. im on Win 10/Live 11 and everything M4L in my custom folder has worked fine so far. I have a queue of stuff to install and test, but will eventually get around to testing this one.

So basically all your M4L devices shown up in one folder, instead of M4L midi tools, M4L audio tools etc?

Find it difficult too, reminding where some devices are hidden after installation.

Yes, exactly! I have a single folder named: M4L DEVICES > and then subfolders. Accessed directly from Lives browser, no tedious annoying af searching, 3 clicks and its loaded into the project ;)

How are they not working for you? Lame to say that without giving details. For anyone else trying, it works perfectly here. M1 Mac. Follow the instructions from the developer properly and it will work.

Did you attempt to access these as MIDI Tools or as a M4L device in the device rack? Because they won't load as the latter as they are technically an Ableton MIDI tool and will only appear from within the Piano Roll editor on a clip.

I get this error... "The patch file contains a MIDI Tool. MIDI Tools cannot be inserted as devices." I'm sure you can overcome this.
