A proper rip of The General Series 6000, as many scene rips posted years ago had some broken tracks/indexing problems. (These were ripped from the original 40 CD set which had no issues at all.)

Wow thank you. It's amazing how many sound effects in this library have been used in shows and movies over the years. It really is a staple sound fx library.

What is "organized and fixed" with this collection?

basically, on the cd tracks there are multiple sounds

for example: if there was a metal impact sound that had 4 versions/takes in the name, that means it would be split down into multiple files
like metal_001 metal_002 and so on.

if you find the pdf online then you can see that if a track has "-1" or "-2" in the index name that means its a seperate sound from the original full track

also: "fixed" is basically a better rip of this library as many scene rips years ago were either ripped incorrectly (disc rot or a scratched disc), or were rather ripped by people who dont know how to rip cds at all.

Gotcha! If only there were nice people out there that did this for more of the libraries that were shared here, that would be amazing! There are a lot that were ripped in this manner, 1 track with multiple sounds separated into single tracks. I had the notion of "fixing" those tracks and sharing them here but didn't know if that was allowed. I have also came across libraries that were incomplete, missing content.

Thanks for the info and maybe this might spur the same correction with the other libraries or I might help with that, let's see what happens.

Maybe we can get a list of improperly ripped libraries or ones missing content and see if we can get a "fixed" version shared here. Let's share some info and see if we can get something going.
