The programs:

It does a lot more than that. Smooths out the transients, glues, makes it wider, punchier and adds depth to the mix. Basically what running your signal trough console would do, but it does it more realistically compared to other plugins.

The top row is high quality and uses more cpu, the low row uses less cpu can be used during mixing and then change it to top row/high quality before render.

As a virtual summing box : Input Channel is inserted on the last insert of the DAW audio

the master track, just as the stereo return would be routed from the analog console back to
the DAW.
