E-MU Emulator II EII Factory Library for Emulator X3 screenshot
AudioZ Exclusive | ebx / ebl |Emulator X3 | 39.8 MB
Back in the mid-80s, the sampling keyboard that took the synth world by storm was the Emulator II. Far more pervasive in its influence than the Synclavier or the Fairlight, the Emulator II brought 8-bit sampling to a price point that took it into studios and onto hit records at a rate that helped to define the sound of a generation.

Note: the complete collection is hard to find. There are various versions floating around on the Internet, but none of them have the complete set in working order.

This library include 99 instruments

Surely!! If you fancy 2 dollars vintage libraries for a completely outdated VSTi
You can't have everything; where would you put it?

Yes, it's all very vintage, but, some of the sounds have some sort of warmth that make them interesting. Other sounds are very typical of the 80's which may be interesting too.

This is obviously not meant to play credible strings orchestra.

Thanks Olymoon for these and all the others, to Team R2R for cracking and all the other providers and contributors who provided tips to help get this working. I finally got to try this and I now know why the release makes many people happy because it takes us back to simpler and for me, happier times in the best decade, the 80's. I loved Depeche Mode and Human League etc. but others in the later 80's like Beastie Boys, Howard Jones and Sigue Sigue Sputnik.

Yes these sounds are vintage and you wouldn't use the orchestral sounds for serious strings over Kontakt, but like an old childhood toy that you hold onto it makes you feel good because it reminds you of better times. Very important in these current times so thank you, now unfortunately must get back to work.

Not only this, but if you look at it like many artist have done in that time, as a creative tool, with it's faulty de-tuning and so, then you find an interesting source of sounds for your music.

Listen to some Depeche Mode from the 80s and you will know exactly how it sounds.

Just for the info.
The Marcato Strings Bank has no Samplepool Folder. Only the *.exb file.
But thanks anyway. :)
