Having lived in Peru for more then 4 years, I've never heard anything that sounded like that demo.
To be honest, it sound like someone was inspired by Timberland sound and added a few perc in the background and decided to call it Peruvian for no reason whatsoever.
Even the Cajon stem doesnt sound Peruvian made at all not to say that all other electronic are just electronic sound.
I wonder what they thought when they branded that ''Afro-Peruvian''.
Maybe they are from Peru....but it definitely doesnt sound like any scen from there thats for darn sure.

Afro-Peruvian sound really is a thing.
They call it Musica Criolla
Its actually very strong in Peru.
