This is trap music, just not edm trap but hip hop trap

This IS authentic trap music based on the original idea. It's your typical southern "trap" hip hop derived from crunk and the concept of drug deals that took place in "trap" houses in the early 2000's down in the south like Atlanta and based on rappers who talked about drug dealing. The "EDM Trap" is a crossover style from this form of trap when some hip hop artists started working with electronic producers that led to edm remixes of popular trap hip hop songs. EDM trap is just an evolved version of this genre...
