Afro Bashment & UK Rap showcases one of the hottest homegrown sounds to emerge from the UK. A true fusion genre already burning up playlists, mainstream radio, SXSW and clubs. An innovative mix born out of Afrobeats, Bashment, Grime and RnB. As a UK based label we had to be the first to represent one of the hottest sounds in the world!

Explore a huge melodic collection including plucked chord progressions, signature staccato mallets and bells, synth leads and chord sequences. Textured arpeggios, pop inspired keys and pianos and ambient pads. Add in harder layers with gliding 808s, bouncing garage bass stabs and trap sub lows. We’ve worked hard on both the sound design and musical theory to create original compositions that embody the vibe. Available as loops and one shots!

We’ve designed hard hitting drums and percussion to perfectly complement the melodics. Featuring 60 all new drum hits, 50 drum loops, complex hi-hat patterns and percussion loops. Includes exclusively recorded tablas, hand drums, custom percussion, analog drum machines and live drums. Built as modern Trap and RnB drums whilst providing forward thinking processing.

Every loop in this 962mb pack has been meticulously key-tagged and temp-synced at 100bpm.

The UK has always been steeped heavily in bass music foundations - from sound sytem culture and reggae roots to garage, dancehall, jungle and grime. The shared production techniques, song writing and club ready dembow rhythms have created a platform that already boast true stars in J Hus, Kojo Funds, Yxng Bane, WSTRN, Not3s, MoStack, Mist, B Young and many more. The jury is still out on an official name for such a new ‘genre’ but it’s making such major waves that Spotify coined the hugely popular ‘Afro Bashment’ playlist and it shows no signs of slowing.

I wouldn't call this an innovative genre; this pack is pretty generic. As with all core genres of music, Pop, or at least the Pop vibes (safe, easy, crowd-accessible,) has been seeping into Rap as well; a lot of radio Rap even leans towards EDM and almost Chillhouse now, which is funny to me. This is a good example of that. (And then of course there is the blantant Pop Melodies that basically just add a "Hip Hop" drum beat and *presto!!* it's "Urban!!" XD )
I think that crossing genre lines is fine as so long as it is for musical purposes, not to dumb down music for the masses so they can digest it without thought.
If you really listen to this pack, there is nothing that can't be thrown together in five minutes with Nexus, a Julez Jadon drum pack and some herb. Just sayin'....
(Thanks for the contribution, funtime, but I'm skipping this one. :) )
