Thiol Drum Senegal Vol. 1 is dedicated to the THIOL drum. Pronounced as “tchol”, this ancient Senegalese drum is considered to be one of the oldest drums in West Africa. Its special body which is not carved fully through gives it a unique timbre and overtones. In this pack Ben created loops, improvisations, massive hits and one shots with a traditional vibe and a modern rhythmic approach. This pack gives creators of all genres a palette of sounds and grooves to enrich their music with a rarely sampled drum. Some of the samples were captured in a BIG space, giving a natural reverb and a special character.

Shake Hat Beats is the latest sample pack by Ben Aylon, revealing the sound of the Shake Hat a unique percussion instrument invented by Ben for his One Man Tribe solo performance. The sample pack is made for Hip Hop, Lo-Fi, Funk, Soul and all groove-oriented styles. The pack's structure consists of ten folders, each representing a different beat, recorded with a hybrid drum kit, using a deep Brazilian Alfaia drum as a kick drum and other percussion instruments for extra layering and textures including the Shake Hat. You can find a sub-folder for each beat containing the drum kit parts as multi-tracks for your own processing and mixing. For a little extra spice, an FX layer played through a Roland Space Echo RE-201 is included as an independent layer for your mixing flexibility.
