REQ: Moment Texture Nodes, a Gaszia moment screenshot
Coming onto the global scene as one half of legendary duo X&G nearly a decade ago, Gaszia has established himself as one of the most exciting producers in the underground music scene. Having not one but 2 music videos produce over 1 million views on Skrillex's OWSLA imprint, contributing production for the iconic Keith Ape “It G Ma Opus", as well as Dog Blood's (Skrillex + Boys Noize) 2019 EP, ”Turn Off the Lights”, it's safe to say X&G has become a staple name in the electronic dance music space. But Gaszia appreciates growth, and thus a new chapter begins.

“Texture Nodes consists of my journey into taking everyday musical sounds you might be familiar with (or not) and transforming them into something unfamiliar. The idea was to create textures using various methods and tools -both analog and digital- to create a sound palette that felt new and exciting to me. I’m very late to learning synthesis and so I’ve spent the last 5 years or so exploring different techniques and this was me finally combining all those different methods.

I reached a point in my musical journey where the more I learned about music and how it worked I felt myself feeling more restricted. I then set out to remove all restrictions and create freely, which led to me rediscovering the feeling and mindset of how I felt when I first discovered making music as a kid. It became a good exercise and mindset that I now have held onto while creating for more than 15 years now. Some of the tools I used on this pack were some various hardware synths like the Monomachine and Super 6, then combining those with various softsynths, Max4Live devices, recordings, etc. and then resampling all of that output through various digital effect racks I built from scratch for this pack.”
