REQ: Build A Song with Nathan Chapman
Learn how a GRAMMY winning producer crafts a release ready track
Who Is This For?
This course is for anyone interested in songwriting and music production. Whether you're a songwriter hoping to learn how to fully polish a song idea, an aspiring producer looking to refine your skills and hone your craft, a home studio enthusiast, or a seasoned music veteran wanting to learn from a legendary peer; Nathan Chapman's process, knowledge, and insights will be invaluable to you.
What Will I Learn?
You'll learn the entire process of building a song from the ground up. From basic song structure to evolved arrangement with expert production. Along the way we discuss music theory, production technique, collaborative approaches, and technical advice. This includes creating a chord progression, adding multiple instruments, tracking vocals, and making key execution decisions in service to both the song and the recording artist.
I'm Not In A Studio
Although the session was held in a world class recording studio, everything done in this course can be replicated anywhere with basic entry level audio gear and a computer that runs Pro Tools if you want a lean in experience. Alternatively, you could just sit back watch how the song and process evolves with just the videos themselves to absorb a song's journey.
