About Amigo project:

Amigo Sampler started out as an idea by: Stekker

coming from the Old skool jungle scene where Commodore Amiga’s are still being used on a daily basis

with software like Octamed & Protracker in combination with Akai’s, E-mu’s & Roland samplers.

Teamed up with ilchef who has been making promising plugins like Pullupmachine with his newly started VST Plugin startup PotenzaDSP this turned out to be a match made in heaven and birthed the Amigo Sampler project.

There are great software trackers on modern platforms like Renoise, OpenMPT and even free clones of Protracker & Fasttracker II by the amazing 8BitBubsy.
While we love the tracker workflow we also know for most people it looks
Like a mix between Excel and the codes from The Matrix 🙂

So together we set on the mission to capture the magic sound of the Amiga while being easy and fun to use for everybody even those without experience of the original hardware or tracker softwares.

MacOS – Logic Pro: MOD section sync issue – fixed an issue causing the modulation to un-synced with the project BPM in Logic Pro
MOD section quirks – Fixed an issue causing undesired behaviour when automating modulation amount (AM)
Reverse slicing – Fixed an issue causing reversed slices to not be played correctly.
LOOP – Fixed an issue causing looped samples to be cutoff unexpectedly.

Serial Verification.
You now have to authorise your computer to use Amigo. Simply enter the serial number listed under ‘my account’
File browser
A new internal file browser lets you preview and load samples from inside Amigo.
EMBED button
The embed button saves the sample file into the project state, so you can send project files to friends without losing samples.
Modulation section.
The new MOD section allows for two types of modulation and two type of lfo: Vibrato or Tremolo, along with Square or Triangle waves.
Sample rate improvements
Amigo now loads samples in chunks, making it feel smoother when changing sample-rates.
Equal slicing
New Auto Slice feature allows you to split up the sample into equally divided slices.
Phase bugs
The phase effect would sometimes cause some clicking/popping, this is now fixed.

Slice looping
Slices can now be looped using the loop controls.
(side note, slice mode is still monophonic only!)
