Covering everything from creating lush, evolving drones and captivating pads using synthesis techniques and Max for Live tools to harnessing generative sequencers for ever-changing soundscapes.
Unveil the secrets of ambient vocals with a dedicated effect rack perfect for both performance and studio applications. Discover the magic of feedback systems, where signals between Return Tracks interplay to create intricate and unpredictable sonic landscapes.
This comprehensive workshop includes over 15 Max for Live tools tailored for ambient music creation, a Generative Ambient Ableton Project Template, and access to 2+ hours of Ableton Certified Training Video. Participants will explore setting up ambient production templates, utilizing probability and randomization, and incorporating glitch techniques into ambient compositions.
Drone Generators
Differentiate between a drone and a pad. Utilize various synthesis techniques and Max for Live tools to craft expansive, lush drones. These drones can serve as a harmonic foundation for ambient compositions, providing a rich backdrop for improvisation or as a base for additional layers.
Pad Generator
Included is a custom rack for generating pads. This rack produces a new chord with each note played, as well as offering control over pad and bass layer volumes. The generative chord system can be toggled on or off, allowing you to seamlessly switch between generative and manual chord playing, providing flexibility in your ambient composition.
Generative Sequencers
Learn how to employ generative sequencers and modulators to create dynamic, ever-changing musical pieces. Explore techniques to harness probability and randomization for evolving soundscapes, contributing to the unique and evolving nature of ambient music.
Feedback Systems
Explore the creation of feedback systems by sending signals between different Return Tracks. This technique adds an element of unpredictability and complexity to your ambient compositions, allowing for the organic development of soundscapes.
Ambient Vocals
Included in the session is a vocal effect rack designed for ambient vocal performances and studio work. The rack includes a big ambient reverb, but it can be turned off to reveal a versatile vocal effect chain suitable for various genres.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Yeuda Ben-Atar, a world renowned Ableton Certified Trainer, hails from Los Angeles, California. Originally from Israel, Yeuda’s passion for music led him to the United States, where he discovered his true calling with Ableton Live in 2007, embarking on a journey of mastery.
He approaches Ableton in a unique way; producing and performing with video game controllers under the moniker Side Brain.
One of Yeuda’s most remarkable qualities is his exceptional knowledge and speed, combined with his unparalleled ability to explain complex concepts in a simple and engaging manner.
