Babylonwaves Art Conductor Key Switches Layout

All expression maps are set up in the same way. The key switches for the core techniques, which most libraries have in common, are assembled on the lowest octave.

It will take you no time to learn that Spiccato is always on E, independently of what library you’re using.

The remaining key switches follow the natural order within the individual instrument.

This unique universal key switches system enables you to control all your libraries with one single Metagrid, TouchOSC template.

Every expression map is available in both Directions and Attribute styles. So you can choose which way to work you prefer.

EVERYTHING IS IN PERFECT ORDER



Art Conductor templates are built so that if you use a new instrument, you always start with Long instead of something random.

All articulations are sorted alphabetically. We've streamlined the way the techniques are named across all libraries. For instance Long and Sustain are always called Long. Because both describe the same.

All expression maps come in two flavors: Attribute and Direction based.

We use custom-made software to arrange all articulations in the perfect order. To automatically create consistent short names and notation symbols.

Colors are a great tool to maximize overview - in a subtle fashion. In Art Conductor, we use colors to group articulations. For instance, all shorts are red.

In other words, it would take months to do all this by hand – with the tools available in Cubase.
