A piano with a remarkable story.
Imagine a piano that has done a tour of duty in Europe during WWII. Well this is just that piano. Designed to withold being parachuted onto battlefields and played by troops yearning for the curative qualities of a familiar song sung with strangers and friends.
Furnished with 1940's style ribbon microphones, we recorded everything through a vintage Neve desk and mic pres in one of the most exclusive and sought-after studio spaces in the USA.
Museum-quality speakers, radios, and outboard were meticulously modelled from a collection of pristinely and not-so-pristinely maintained communications equipment.
