REQ: Dub Master Drums One Drop Reggae Drum Sample Pack
This sample pack has MULTI VELOCITY (quiet to loud) .wav one shots in an INCREDIBLY realistic fashion, perfect for roots rock reggae.
Every velocity and every articulation required to make good reggae drums is included in this pack. There is not another drum sample pack which captures this iconic One Drop sound as accurately and as comprehensively as this one. Since I bought my Ludwig Supraphic 5 years ago, through much trial and error I studied different snare tunings, tried out out all kinds of different head combinations, and really practiced the striking techniques to get these samples right. Most reggae sample packs out there are made by rock musicians and are recorded by rock players. There is a very specific way to execute the licks required to get the champagne pop sound of the Carly Snare. I spent countless hours painstakingly tuning this drum kit and getting the mic positioning just right to capture a lively and reggae appropriate sound. In the process of compiling these one shots I intentionally kept a little bit of overhead mic and a tiny bit of room mic to capture the essence of my brand new studio. It has a dry character that is very reminiscent of early reggae. How I processed these was by starting with the unprocessed samples and created a reggae song to them. i.e. I used real-world processing instance to take the unprocessed sounds to "sounds like a record" quality. This pack comes with both unprocessed and processed versions. I trust that when you get your hands on this kit you'll agree this sample pack is very special indeed.

42 samples of the 20"x16" mahogany kick drum (21 with a shorter sustain, 21 of the same samples but with a longer sustain)
45 samples of the 14" Zildjian A Mastersound hi hats - including the crucial 4 different variations (tip, shoulder, shank, various levels of open)
14 samples of the 12" mahogany high tuned rack tom
12 samples of the 12" mahogany mid tuned rack tom
14 samples of the 16" mahogany floor tom (toms are in tune with each other and sound great together)
10 samples of the sidestick of the legendary 14"x5.5" Ludwig Supraphic LM402 snare
43 samples of the Ludwig Supraphic LM402 snare (a la Carly stylee)
