REQ: Mike Verta CARTOONS and COMEDY!

The scores written for classic cartoons were masterful tour-de-forces of orchestration devices and structure. The sheer number of ideas characters emotions and actions needing to be expressed combined with the dizzying pace of the beatpoints required nothing less than total mastery of craft and an ability to hold the chaos together structurally. In this class we're going to learn the orchestral combinations colors and techniques employed as well as how to change moods instantly without losing focus. We're also going to look at how to serve up comedy in general - both on the nose and subtly. This one will be fun, funny, and insanely useful.
